Moon tricks Beef into attending a moms' group (consisting of Henry, Russel, and Debbie's mom) so he can build a Dread Sled with his friends but learns the reason why they never told him about their sled is because he's a downer. Beef was uncomfortable being in the moms' group at first but begins to enjoy their company. Meanwhile, Wolf thinks his pot holder is haunted.
Tropes:
- Brick Joke: In the second scene, Honeybee suggests they put the wandering oven mitt "back in its beddy-bye," and Wolf says he'll sing it to sleep because he just checked out a new ska lullaby CD from the library. The song over the closing credits is Wolf singing a ska lullaby to the oven mitt.
- The Complainer Is Always Wrong: Moon's subplot is a deconstruction of this trope. Despite being the one friend in his group who doesn't think the Dread Sled is safe, Moon is in the right and it's clearly unsafe.
- Couch Gag: The boat in the opening is Too Big To Sail.
- Freeze-Frame Bonus: In the opening shot, the school's outdoor sign reads, "Week Backwards Moose Lone Everyone Fun Have."
- The One Guy: Despite the fact that Beef is the only man and dad in the moms' group, the other moms happily accepts him in their group even if Moon tricked him into coming. It helps that Carissa and Marie are both divorcees which makes it easy for Beef to bond with them.
- Only Sane Man: Moon turns out to be this in his group of friends. se Too Dumb to Live for details. Also, Beef has to talk the moms out of getting their revenge on Carissa's cheating boyfriend by killing him.
- Pop-Culture Pun Episode Title: The episode title is based on Big Momma's House.
- Safety Freak: Moon is a downplayed example. His friends consider him a "downer" because he's always finding faults in their schemes; in this case, they have equipped a sled with a leaf blower as a motor to ride it down a hill. Moon can't help but point out how unsafe it is, so they don't invite him to ride it. However, Moon saves them all by secretly tying his fishing line around them and yank them out to safety before their sled crashes halfway through the unsafe slope.
- Shoot the Messenger: Discussed by Beef when talking with Wolf and Honeybee when he tells them he's worried that if he tells Carissa that Chumbo is cheating on him then she'll kick him out of the moms' group. Before he and Kathleen split up, he brings up the time when his friend Gordon told him he walked in on Kathleen and Marcus making out and for some reason he was mad at Gordon and stopped talking to him. When Beef does tell Carissa about Chumbo, she breaks out into tears; but when Beef believes this is the end of their friendship and tries to leave, Carissa tells him he can stay and she's not mad at him.
- Spooky Séance: Judy stages a séance to communicate with the ghost haunting the oven mitt.
- Too Dumb to Live: While Moon may be a downer to his friends for pointing out faults in the stuff they built, he's in the right to point them out because of how dangerous it is for them. For their motorized Dread Sled, they use a toilet seat for the steering wheel that can't actually steer, the leaf blower on the sled will make it go too fast without any control, and a bag of popcorn they're using as an airbag is definitely not going to save them if they crash. Before they could sled down the hill towards Fall-Thru Lake, they didn't bother to check if their path is clear and when Moon tries to warn them about the obstacles in their way they get annoyed with him. When they do sled down, they finally realize they're in danger when they're about to crash into a fallen tree until Moon pulls them to safety. When they mention they built a catapult that launches bats and they mention the bats keep biting them, Moon tells them they shouldn't be handling bats in the first place and they definitely need to get their rabies shots as soon as possible.
- Woman Scorned: After Beef reveals to Carissa that Chumbo is cheating on her, the moms wants to get back at Chumbo and wants to kill him but Beef offers a more sensible solution: putting his snowmobile inside a small dumpster and filling it with water so by the time Chumbo finds his snowmobile it will be encased in a giant ice cube.
