When Wolf discovers that Moon is attending a support group for children of divorces, he joins him to help support Moon but realizes that he's the one responsible for Beef and Kathleen breaking up. Meanwhile, Honeybee gets her mitten and letter stolen by an eagle and she can't do anything about it because the eagle is a member of the town council.

Tropes:

  • Caligula's Horse: Toby the Eagle is one of three members of the town council (his handler Roy being one of the other two). It's apparently very common for animals to hold government positions in Alaska; a guinea pig was once assistant governor.
  • Couch Gag: The boat in the opening is Magic Pike XXL.
  • Handy Feet: Because Roy and Toby hold 2/3 majority of the city council, Councilperson Gwen just gave up and spends council meetings practicing picking things up with her feet. At the next council meeting, Gwen can be seen trying to solve a rubik's cube with her feet. Judy mentions she once ran into Gwen at the mall food court, where she was able to eat an entire serving of lo mein while operating the chopsticks with her toes.
  • Heartbreak and Ice Cream: After Wolf comes to the belief he's the one responsible for their parents' divorce, he sits in his bed and eats a container of ice cream in his pajamas.
  • Humble Goal: Roy's lifelong dream was to serve on the city council of all things. He describes his current situation as 'Living the dream'.
  • If I Do Not Return: Just before Honeybee confronts Roy in his house, she tells Beef that if she's not out in 15 minutes, he has to honk the horn three times and then drive through Roy's front door. After Honeybee comes to an understanding with Roy, 15 minutes have passed, and she hears Beef's signal and tries to call off the plan.
  • In Spite of a Nail: Moon notes that even if Wolf had actually introduced Kathleen and Marcus to each other, the divorce would've been their fault for choosing to have an affair, not his.
  • Incredibly Lame Fun: Wolf apparently finds cleaning out the family van fun because of the treasures he finds that he gets to keep.
  • It's All My Fault: Wolf blames himself for introducing his mother to the dance instructor that she would later cheat on Beef with, leading to their divorce. He later discovers that she and the instructor met up earlier, and thus his parent's divorce wasn't his fault.
  • Just Here for the Free Snacks: Moon attends a children of divorce support group solely for the banana splits they serve; he's actually taken Beef and Kathleen's divorce very well.
  • Noodle Incident: Beef once fell into Toby's fountain, but he thinks he was pushed in.
  • Pop-Culture Pun Episode Title: The episode title is a reference to Dances with Wolves.
  • Real Men Wear Pink: At the end of the episode, Wolf advises Moon to buy a lady’s razor when he starts shaving because they come with lotion strips.
  • Truncated Theme Tune: The intro for the episode is only 15 seconds.

Wolf:
♫ Every nook and cranny holds some treasure of its own
When I whip open my trash bag they call me Indi-van-a Jones
Don't bother me, I'm in the van cleaning zone ♫

Moon & Honeybee: ♫ Don't bother Wolf, he's in the van cleaning zone ♫
Wolf:
♫ On an exploratory mission, like Jacques Cousteau or whoever dug up Rome
A baby tooth, a peanut, an amethyst earring, that's my friggin' birthstone ♫

Moon & Honeybee: Shh.
Wolf: ♫ Don't bother me, I'm in the van cleaning zone ♫
Moon & Honeybee: Shh, ♫ don't bother Wolf, he's in the van cleaning zone! ♫
Wolf: ♫ Don't bother me, I'm in the van cleaning zone! ♫
