Recap / The Facts Of Life Seven Little Indians

Go To

In this parody of the Twilight Zone, and horror movies in general, the girls and their friends are picked off one by one by a horrific killer.

Seven Little Indians provides examples of:

  • Camp: Everyone in this episode acts so melodramatic despite the murders that it's easy to tell the whole thing is a dream
  • Dream Within a Dream: The whole thing was a dream that Beverly Ann had, but then Tootie wakes up and it turns out that she was dreaming instead.
  • Evil Plan: Blair's plan is to eliminate everyone who falls under the 50% tax bracket
  • Faking the Dead: Blair fakes her death to make it easier to kill the remaining cast.
  • Final Girl: Tootie is the only person to survive the massacre.
  • Foreshadowing: George is murdered when he goes back to the house to get his keys, which is how he meets the killer. But George is clearly familiar with the killer, showing that the guilty party can only be one of the main cast.
  • Homage: To the famous series "The Twilight Zone". The narrator Rod Sperling and his frequent interruptions during the episode are based off Rod Serling.
  • Makeup Is Evil: When she reveals herself to Tootie, Blair is wearing a lot of makeup, while keeping the large hairdo from before, making her come off rather ghoulish.
  • The Reveal: The killer is Blair!
  • Rube Goldberg Hates Your Guts: Beverly Ann describes Andy's fate as Death by Rube Goldberg, in that he was caught in a trap that ended with him swallowing rubber cement.
  • Split Personality: After finding Jo dead, Tootie begins to wonder if she, through multiple personalities is the true murderer, one for each death. She lists all the victims, but then a familiar voice lists her as the final one....
  • Take That!: To the many horror movie sequels in the 1980s, Jo mentions that the name of the scary movie the gang saw is "The Halloween Hacker 3: Part 6. A New Beginning. Dave Returns. Again"
  • Would Hurt a Child: Andy is Blair's first victim
