Popular explorer and book author Guy Fox is in San Lorenzo for a signing event, and he wants Dulcinea to join him on his adventures.
Tropes:
- Broken Pedestal: Guy turns out to be a con-artist who lied about all his adventures and the only reason he's interested in Dulcinea is because a female character could improve his sales.
- Engineered Heroics: Guy had some thieves stage a sword fight during his book reading. It backfires when they come back for their payment and Guy doesn't have the money.
- Everyone Can See It:Puss: I know it might not be readily apparent, but I, Puss in Boots, have-
Senora Zapata, Pajuna and The Duchess: A crush on Dulcinea.
Puss: What? How did you all know that?
Pajuna: It's obvious to literally everyone! - Fake-Out Opening: The episode opens on Guy Fox stealing a ruby from a cave, which turns out to be Dulcinea reading his latest book.
- Ladykiller in Love: This is what's making Puss so hesitant to make a move. He's courted many ladies before, but he's never felt as strongly about any of them as he does with Dulcinea and so he doesn't know what to do.
- Plagiarism in Fiction: Toby recognizes Guy Fox's passage of his new book as the words Puss said about Dulcinea the previous night. Puss then calls intellectual property theft "the most violent of crimes!"
- Punny Name: Guy Fox is a play on Guy Fawkes.
- Ship Tease: Guy Fox courting Dulcinea makes Puss jealous and he isn't sure what to do about it.
- Species Surname: Guy Fox. He's a fox.
