  • Abusive Parents: More Caroline build-up before she’s actually seen, as Shiv had a shitty phone call with her and moved the wedding to England to try and appease her.
  • Alone in a Crowd: Kendall purposelessly wanders the streets in stunned defeat after his father boots him from Waystar following the failed coup.
  • Ambiguous Situation: It’s left in the air whether Logan suspected Kendall for the vote and had a burger dinner with him just to throw him off, or if it was a rare safe moment. Either way it makes Kendall want to call the whole thing off.
  • Brutal Honesty: Stewy just comes right out and says Kendall can’t trust him either personally or on money.
  • Face Palm: Stewy’s reaction when Kendall tells him about the vote of no confidence.
  • Fair-Weather Friend: Lawrence and Stewy, the latter by his own admission. Both declare themselves receptive to new management, but abstain from voting against Logan when it becomes apparent that Kendall and Roman's coup is going to come to an Epic Fail.
  • Foreshadowing: The President’s aide tells Logan the man is busy dealing with homeland security issues, and those issues are why Kendall can’t just take a jet to where he wants, so ends up failing the meeting.
  • I Need a Freaking Drink: While they’re waiting around for the Vote to happen, Roman and Stewy agree they need a round of shots.
  • My Sister Is Off-Limits: One of the rare times where Roman and Kendall (usually all too happy to make gross cracks about her, as she does to them) don’t actually want to hear about their sister’s sex life.
  • Screw the Rules, I Have Money!: Kendall tries to pay away the private jet problems, and his reaction to “could be shot down” is a pleading “yeah but not really right?”
  • Screw the Rules, I Make Them!: Despite the law requiring Logan from recusing himself from the vote of no-confidence discussion, he insists to remain in the board room and bullies his way into actually directing the vote.
  • This Is Gonna Suck: Frank knows it will be a disaster from the moment Kendall panics and flies out to Long Island.
  • Through His Stomach: The Greg/Tom subtext continues, as Tom takes Greg out for an expensive dinner and replies positively to Greg’s “are you trying to seduce me?”
  • Wham Episode: Kendall fumbles his vote of no confidence in Logan and is fired from the company alongside Frank.
