• Beard of Sorrow: Kendall clearly hasn't mustered the motivation to shave since his disastrous exile from Waystar.
• Blatant Lies: Shiv, Roman, and Connor don't believe a word of what Logan says about doing everything for his children, and the fact that he's making this a publicity stunt doesn't help.
• Chewing the Scenery: Jeremy Strong is usually torturing himself to keep Kendall as wound tight as possible, but gets to have some fun when Kendall is high off his ass.
• Foreshadowing: The credits involve the Logan placeholder getting out of the pool, so the audience knows he's lying when he tells the kids he can't swim.
• Locked Out of the Loop: Shiv is pissed off about Roman not telling her about the vote of no confidence, and even more pissed off that Logan thinks she was part of it.
• Noodle Incident: Apparently Logan verbally abused Shiv worse than normal because he thought she was with her brothers on plotting the vote of no confidence.
• Off the Wagon: Kendall quickly relapses into his old drug and alcohol consumption habits before attending the family therapy event.
• Puppy-Dog Eyes: Stewy's main goal is to keep the stock decent, but he still gets pleady eyes when telling Logan to fix his hell family.
• Rape as Backstory: Roman doesn't actually think Connor sexually abused him as a kid, but he makes a lot of comments implying that someone really did.
• Toilet Humor: Dark comedy, but it's still played for (somewhat cathartic) laughs that Logan gets a bag of piss thrown at him.
• Unusually Uninteresting Sight: Tom's reaction to Roman accusing Connor of sexual abuse is a remarkably blasé “did you?”
• Wham Shot: Logan swimming, and coming out of the pool showing the scars on his back, showing there was actually an evil uncle Noah.
