As the workers at the haunted house prepare for Halloween night, Streber makes the finishing touches on his device to help sell himself as a real vampire to the kids.
Tropes:
- Art Shift: While the short utilizes much of the same character design aspects and stylings, all characters and objects have no lines, in comparison to the main series' purple ones. The background also makes use of Ben-Day dots in it's coloring.
- Chroma Key: Streber builds a mirror with a camera attached to it to "reflect", i.e. record what's in front of it, with it set to remove anything green ala a green screen. Combined with his green cape, Streber can throw it over himself and remove his reflection to further sell that he's a real vampire. Liv, who's been bodypainted into a green pirate zombie, also briefly plays with the mirror to watch all but her hook, hair and clothing disappear.
- Covers Always Lie: The thumbnail shows Streber looking scared as Bob's silhouette looms over him, implying that he makes an appearance. He doesn't, and the short is set before "Tender Treats" as Streber and his friends are getting ready for the haunted house.
- Dramatic Irony: Streber makes a comment about his sore arm, saying he "doesn't want it to fall off on him.", while his friends joke about him dying from overworking. Funny in the moment, but the audience is well aware that Streber gets his arm cut off and is left to die by Bob later that night.
- Funny Background Event: Two, while Streber is talking about his sore arm.
- Bombwolf tries to drink a soda, but misses his mouth and pours it on the floor. He then walks away dejectedly.
- Leon sneaks up on Ethan and Aria to scare them.
- Sweetie Graffiti: There's a small "Jaune x Carmen" scrawled behind the fridge while Streber talks about his mirror. Compared to the "Kevin x Streber" graffiti in "Tender Treats", this one is more obviously a joke, as Jaune and Carmen hate each other.
