Recap / Sealab 2021 S 4 E 13 Legacy Of Laughter

Go To

The cast of Sealab

The final episode of Sealab 2021.

The episode starts with a fake [adult swim] bump from 70-30, stating that a few shows have gotten new episodes, including Sealab.

The episode properly begins with an audience applauding to the cast of Sealab onstage. Toni Carmell from the "Tinfins" episode is hosting this special episode devoted to Sealab and its legacy of laughter. It's a thirty minute episode note  dedicated to the best Sealab moments and a preview of the next episode, "Tinfins 2: The Sharkening".

They begin by having the cast take questions from the audience. The first question is a man asking Debbie to marry him. Quinn says she's taken. She pretends to consider him, then turns him down. They're then asked if they play practical jokes on each other, which they all deny. Toni claims that she heard a funny story about a gaffer and an outlet, but that was actually a tragic accident.

Quinn is asked if he's a cyborg, how does he get through airport metal detectors? Attention Whore Sparks steals the punchline from Quinn and says 'very carefully!'. Someone who looks suspiciously like Master Lu asks if they're supposed to be the characters or the actors playing them right now. The only answer he gets is "absolutely". They're interrupted by an outraged Hesh in a barmaid outfit asking why he's not on stage. Debbie says Hesh is on location filming a movie about a Polish barmaid on the run from German rape gangs. The Germans tell Hesh to sit down.

A woman asks why Sealab depicts women as less-than-human whores, to which Quinn replies to 'ask your whore mom'. She can't though, cause her whore mom's deaf. Sparks is asked to do Meatwad's voice and they're asked if there will be a Spacecataz spinoff. The audience is told twice that that's not this show, and when asked for Sealab specific questions, they get asked why Sealab isn't more like Aqua Teen Hunger Force.

The episode cuts to commercial, another Grizzlebee's one, this time advertising their new product "The Shocker", beef franks positioned in a bun to...ahem...resemble the 'shocker' gesture. There is also a news report about how kitchen sinks can kill and a two faced kitten.

As the show comes back on, Hesh tries to start a cry of "we want Hesh!" Caught, he then advertises a Hesh fansite and asks if Toni could get rid of the Germans for him.

Toni brings up that Shanks is the voice of another character from Sealab. Shanks jokes that it's Marco, Marco jokes right back, and Sparks tries to be an Attention Whore again. The audience is not amused though when Quinn suggests they earn more for thirty minutes than most of the audience does in a week. When asked again about the other voice, it turns out Shanks does Debbie Love's voice and demonstrates. Quinn ends up punching Shanks when the lines start getting too racist and flat out tackles Stormy when he says something equally racist.

Toni asks the cast to give them hints about what to expect in season five. After some reluctance, Debbie gives away that one character gets pregnant, and the audience goes wild. They quiet really quickly though when Debbie also reveals the character gets an abortion, despite her reassurances it's funny.

Sparks keeps trying to draw attention to himself, and ends up swearing at Quinn and the audience before they show a clip for another episode: Quinn searches for the secret to eternal youth and accidentally turns everyone on Sealab into babies (and Hesh into a fetus). Then they witness a murder. The audience is not impressed and they go to commercial.

Sparks once again tries to draw attention to himself and Marco throws money at him to get him to shut up. After a teaser that we do not see, the episode decides to pay tribute to someone special. Sharko comes out thinking it's about him but Shanks summons a log to knock him away. The tribute is actually for the departed Captain Murphy. Toni tells the audience not to go away because after this commercial is the preview for Tinfins 2.

The episode ends with another fake bump from 70-30, admitting that this episode was actually Sealab's last episode and thanking the fans for watching it.
