The episode that started it all. Present on the Season 1 DVD.

It had been produced by the creators, Adam and Matt in 1999 and sent to Cartoon Network, using old Sealab 2020 footage they swiped when they had been fired three years ago. It includes the original version of the theme.

There are some differences between this and the series that eventually was made. Quinn was, at the time, known as 'Lebeau' and spoke only in French, Stormy was then known as 'Apollo', and Hesh was then known as 'Scooter'. At least some elements of this pilot were later revisited in “Frozen Dinner”.

Murphy is asking Sparks about long distance calling when Marco comes in reporting of a distress signal from Ice Station Zebra. They complain that it's freezing there and they're starving. Murphy tries to escape in an escape pod, only to be told they don't exist. Marco offers to slap Murphy, which he puts off till later. Murphy decides to lie down instead.

At Ice Station Zebra, as Jim complains about how horrible their situation is, the iceberg the station's on capsizes, leaving them underwater. The man with the beard (revealed in the end credits to be named Todd) vows to kick Jim's ass if they survive.

Back at Sealab, Marco hails Scooter as Korean porn plays in the background. He asks how long it will be until they get a lock on Ice Station Zebra. Scooter says Howard almost has it. Marco's horrified as Howard is also known as Howard the Hammer. Scooter looks behind him in time to see Howard smash up the sonal panel with a hammer. He then realizes it's another Howard.

Sparks tells Marco that Murphy is feeding the fish. As he corrects Sparks (it's a whale), Marco goes to talk to Murphy. Sparks expresses hope that the 'goofballs' he slipped Marco kick in soon. Dolphin Boy reveals that the 'goofballs' make Marco think he's a salad.

Murphy is feeding the whale when Marco comes in complaining about Howard (who it turns out is Murphy's nephew) smashing the sonar panel. Murphy tells him to leave Howard alone but then forgets what he's talking about. Debbie compliments him and Murphy promotes her, telling everyone else to shut up too. Just then Marco starts hallucinating that he's 'the most powerful salad in the world'. Marco orders everyone to suit up to rescue the men at Ice Station Zebra and goes to douse himself in vinaigrette.

Sparks suggests that the men build a fire to keep warm, and when they insult him, Sparks decides it's time to watch his 'stories', which turns out to be more porn.

Having decided that Sealab has abandoned them, Todd decides it's time to resort to cannibalism. Jim tries to convince him to eat the fish instead, and mistakenly calls him Jim, but Todd is determined to eat Jim.

Marco goes to see if they're ready, but Debbie has decided that it'd be more fun to smear Marco with butter, which Lebeau agrees with. Marco argues that he's a salad, so they decide to smear it on a random old guy (whose character design was later used for the French diver in “Happycake”) instead of rescuing the men at Ice Station Zebra.

Murphy tells Sparks to get off the radio as he's expecting a call from his mother. Jim tries to radio Sealab to warn them that Todd was trying to eat him, but Murphy tells Sparks to shut it off so he can draw Murphy a hot bath with lavender, as he's feeling a bit clammy.

Jim has knocked a hole into the ice station and now the station is filling with water. Jim is still confident that Sealab will come rescue them...right?

Sealab is too busy preparing for turtle races to care about the ice station. As they ride turtles and chase other marine life, 'bloopers' play and the credits roll. Among the bloopers: Dolphin Boy is actually British, Murphy can't remember his lines, and Todd makes a Freudian Slip.
