Written and storyboarded by Benton Connor and Madeline Queripel.

First half of the second Christmas Episode. Every year the park has a White Elephant Gift Exchange, and every year, Muscle Man screws everyone else over with prank gifts, so Pops, Benson, Skips, Rigby, High Five Ghost, and Mordecai decide to give Muscle Man the gift of revenge.

Tropes

  • Asshole Victim: Muscle Man's Humiliation Conga is really humiliating, but it's hard to feel bad for him for his recent jerky behavior.
  • Black Comedy: Just the ending where Muscle Man finally gets what he deserves.
  • Breather Episode: Acts as this for The Real Thomas and to the next episode.
  • Broken Aesop: Done deliberately and to great effect. The point of the White Elephant Gift Exchange is to give gifts you don't like. This doesn't stop the crew from getting even with Muscle Man. But let's be honest here, Muscle Man's gifts were so contemptuous that it's the least he deserves.
  • Continuity Nod: When Benson asks the park personnel what kind of gift Muscle Man wouldn't want to steal, High Fives mentions a Huggstable doll.
  • Crocodile Tears: In order to trick the others, Muscle Man pretends to cry when he gives a moving speech about how he bought the gang a TV to bring them closer together, like a family. The box actually contains old Chinese food. Muscle Man lampshades that the speech "gets them every time".
  • Everyone Has Standards: Hi-Five Ghost, who always enjoys Muscle Man's antics, admits even he thinks Muscle Man takes things too far during the White Elephant gift exchange.
  • Evil Laugh: The park staff has a very nice shared one while wrapping up Muscle Man's gift. Benson in particular sounds maniacal.
  • Hope Spot: Muscle Man's gifts are built around the person thinking they're getting a good present, then faking them out. It drives the rest of the crew to plan revenge.
  • Humiliation Conga: The prank Muscle Man receives at the end. He gets a faceful of clam chowder which he later slips on causing him to reveal a baseball pitching machine when he rips off the wrap paper, which pelts 20-year-old ranch dressing that hits him in the stomach, sweaters covered in itching powder, underwear gloves, and many baseballs at him. Finally, an elf that Skips and Benson hired jumps out of the present and beats up Muscle Man on the ground.
  • I Know You Know I Know: Rigby and Muscle Man engage into this shortly before Rigby opens his gift.
  • Karma Houdini Warranty: This episode is pretty much Muscle Man's just desserts after his Jerkass behavior and rarely being punished for it ("My Mom", "See You There", and "Muscle Mentor" being prime examples).
  • Laser-Guided Karma: The Park crew use previous prank gifts in their revenge against Muscle Man.
  • My God, What Have I Done?: The staff collectively have this reaction when they find out Muscle Man's gift was a new flatscreen TV and Muscle Man tells them it is a sort of apology for all the bad gifts he's given them in the past and how they're his family... subverted when it turns out it is another Muscle Man prank.
  • Out-of-Character Moment: Muscle Man loves pulling pranks, but he never goes to such sadistic extremes. Him making Pops cry by taking his gift and then giving him a prank one is something that he would never do given how beloved Pops is and how he felt guilty at pranking him in a previous episode.
  • Pun: Pops and High Fives buys Muscle Man's special gift on "Naughty-9 Cent!".
  • Revenge: More or less the crew's motivation here from previous prank gifts. And they pull it off in the end.
  • Revenge Before Reason: Benson spends 500 dollars to have an elf beat Muscle Man up.
"I didn't want to retire at 65 anyway."
  • Shout-Out: The ending where Muscle Man's gift attacks him in slow-motion while christmas music plays acts as one for A Very Sunny Christmas.
  • Slasher Smile: Benson and Rigby sport some amazing ones while watching (and filming!) Muscle Man opening his gift.
  • Soundtrack Dissonance: "Have a Holly Jolly Christmas" plays as Muscle Man's gift is unleashed on him in a rather hilariously sadistic moment.
  • This Is Gonna Suck: If you pay attention to Muscle Man's lips while his humiliation plays in slow motion you can notice him saying his classic "Oh no bro" after seeing the pitching machine about to hit him.

Have a Holly Jolly Christmas

While Muscle Man is utterly humiliated by the gift prepared for him by his coworkers as revenge for his constant pranks, the song Have a Holly Jolly Christmas by Burl Ives plays.
