- Back from the Dead: Hexuba resurrects Treacheron (a major recurring villain earlier in the season), but also minor foes Mutantrum, Horn, Quakemaker, Fishface, Destruxo, Freaky Tiki, Hardtochoke, and Teksa.
- Conservation of Ninjutsu: Now that there are a bunch of monsters, each of them is much, much easier to take down than they were last time. This may or may not be a side-effect of the resurrection.
- Dramatic Irony: Treacheron had no idea he was facing a different Magna Defender. Fishface doesn't seem to be aware of it, either.
- Irony: Mike takes down both Treacheron and Fishface, both of whom were hated enemies of the original Magna Defender.
- Victory by Endurance: Hexuba's real plan is to tire the Rangers into submission through force of numbers.
- What Happened to the Mouse?: There were several additional streaks of light that were left unaccounted for.
- Zerg Rush: Most of Hexuba's revived monsters are Glass Cannons, but there's enough of them to wear down the Rangers.
