Trakeena has Leo taken captive so she can execute him for killing her father. Meanwhile, Deviot plotst to have Trakeena assassinated and blame the Rangers for her death.

- Battle Strip: Leo tears off his shirt before his fight with Trakeena.
- Dirty Coward: Deviot objects to Villamax's intentions to let the others go. After Villamax makes it clear he won't let anyone break one of his promises, Deviot immediately flip-flops and then badmouths him behind his back.
- Even Bad Girls Love Their Daddies: Trakeena may be spoiled, self-centered, vain, and well evil, but she cares deeply for her father, and his death in the previous episode is what fuels her to target the Rangers herself.
- Even Evil Has Standards: Villamax gets Leo to surrender by promising to release the other Rangers and Mike. When Leo does so, Villamax honors his promise - much to Deviot's chagrin. Villamax responds by invoking I Gave My Word.
- Foreshadowing: Deviot correctly predicts that Villamax's sense of honor will ultimately be his downfall. Ironically, said downfall would happen partially because of him.
- Friendship Moment: Zig zagged. Villamax gives Deviot a dagger for supposedly saving Trakeena's life. Villamax sincerely means the sentiment, but Deviot only plays along to mask his true intentions.
- He Knows Too Much: After Teksa is destroyed, Kubak is willing to reveal to Trakeena who put them up to this in exchange for mercy. Deviot blasts him before he talk and claims he thought he was protecting Trakeena.
- I Gave My Word: Villamax responds with this when Deviot questions why he honors his promise to release the Rangers.
- It Has Only Just Begun: Trakeena warns the Rangers that they may've escaped this time, but that she won't rest until she avenges her father and then conquers the universe.
- Make It Look Like The Red Ranger Did It: What Deviot says to the assassins he hired to take out Trakeena.
- Mission Control: Mike runs scans from the Astro Megaship, while the Rangers are flying through space looking for Trakeena's ship.
- Offscreen Moment of Awesome: The mooks were able to subdue and chain up Damon, Kendrix, Maya, and Mike (all of whom were morphed).
- Took a Level in Badass: The two monsters Deviot sends to kill Trakeena don't stand a chance against her.
- Villainous Rescue: Trakeena has Leo on the ropes and is about to kill him when Teksa and Kubak interrupt the duel and attack Trakeena. While Trakeena quickly turns the tables on them, it gives Leo enough time to escape and join up with the other Rangers.
- What Measure Is a Mook?: The original plan to kill Leo was to throw him into a fire pit. As he's about to be tossed, Leo grabs a Sting Winger and pulls him down with him. Leo does this because he knows the Sting Winger will fly to safety, but no one else is concerned in the interim about one of the mooks possibly getting killed in all this.
- Xanatos Gambit: Deviot's main goal is to get Trakeena killed. This fails, and he's not happy about it, but he does at least get to make himself look like a trustworthy soldier to Trakeena and Villamax.
