Odd Beginnings: Part 1

Airdate: February 17, 2020 note

Agent Opal and Agent Omar set out to find and save the legendary 44-leaf clover, an odd artifact that could cause worldwide catastrophic oddness if it falls into the wrong hands.

Tropes:

  • Absurdly Ineffective Barricade: Averted. The Sticky Sisters barricade the door leading to the exit of the Museum of Natural Odd by making a large wheel of tape to cover it. None of the agents can move it, up until Omar devises an idea to use the fulcrum that Mr. O showed them how to use earlier to do so, but even when they do move the barricade it's only small enough for Opal and Omar to fit through and not Oswald.
  • Actually, I Am Him: Opal and Omar arrive at the Odd Squad Museum of Natural Odd and come face-to-face with a Security agent who greets them kindly. Opal explains how she and her partner are looking for Oswald, and she goes full-on Motor Mouth as she explains how she and Oswald have been communicating back-and-forth for a while. The Security agent has them answer a question to prove that they're real Odd Squad agents, and once they pass that, he spins around in his chair to reveal that he is the agent they're looking for.
  • Adminisphere: Opal and Omar work at a Headquarters situated aboveground in the Arctic. Since the Arctic is pretty much devoid of oddness, they don't go out onto the field like other agents in other Headquarters do despite being Investigation agents, and haven't had a proper case in years. Opal doesn't like her current situation, and decides to find the 44-leaf clover as a way to convince the Big O to move her and Omar to a different precinct.
  • All There in the Script: The tube operator Mr. O is talking with isn't named in the episode, but the credits list her name as "O'Dowd".
  • Animal Motifs: The Sticky Sisters have a gecko theme — their outfit looks as though they're wearing scales, and their fingers look like gecko toes. They even have the stickiness that is commonly associated with geckos as a species.
  • Arson, Murder, and Jaywalking: While getting a small replica of the Empire State building from a local vendor, Omar asks her three questions: what the replica is made out of, how tall it is, and how high the vendor can jump.
  • Art Evolution: The sequence that occurs when agents ride the tubes is given yet another upgrade, most notably in the balls that agents ride in. However, mileage varies on whether this upgrade is good, or is a product of invoked Special Effect Failure.
    • Similarly, the effects used when agents exit the tubes have also been upgraded so that it's no longer just a bright blue flash of light.
  • Artifact of Power: The 44-leaf clover, an ancient Odd Squad artifact that is said to give those in possession of it great magical power. While it attracts the attention of Opal and Omar, it also attracts the attention of two villainesses who set out to beat them to it.
  • Artistic License: To escape the avalanche, Opal and Omar hide behind a rock and let the snow wash over them, which leaves them perfectly intact. However, in reality, one would still be buried under many feet of snow and would still be trapped; hiding behind a rock doesn't do much. Similarly, the avalanche Opal and Omar outrun would still be going downwards, crashing into their aboveground Headquarters.
  • Badass Army: Opal explains to Omar how an army of Odd Squad agents and an army of villains (who have a substantially smaller army than the heroes) fought for control of the 44-leaf clover. Naturally, Odd Squad won.
  • Bait-and-Switch: To cheer Opal and Omar up, Mr. O offers them machines. They immediately go nuts, believing that their boss is handing them gadgets...up until he clarifies by saying that he meant simple machines; i.e., a fulcrum and a wedge among other low-tech things.
  • Beware the Nice Ones: Timid as Oswald may be, he can get to be quite terrifying when he gets serious.
    • Opal is generally a nice girl, but when someone rubs her the wrong way, it's not a pretty sight to behold.
  • Big Applesauce: Opal and Omar's first stop on their journey is to New York City, and it's implied that this is their first time visiting the city.
Opal and Omar: New. York. CITY!!! [cheering and jumping]
  • Bland-Name Product: Oddstagram, a clear parody of Instagram.
  • Book Snap: Opal does one that's more Played for Laughs than to indicate she means business.
  • Borrowed Catchphrase: Mr. O borrows Oprah's "There you two are, something very odd has happened" Catchphrase, but he only speaks the first part — Opal speaks the second part.
  • The Cameo: The current Main 7 cast — Olive, Otto, Oscar, Olympia, Otis, Oona, and Oprah — all make cameo appearances throughout the episode. Oprah makes an appearance in the episode telling the status of the 44-leaf clover to a press conference, while the other 6 agents make brief cameos in the opening theme.
  • Card-Carrying Villain: The Sticky Sisters aren't afraid to let their enemies know that they're villains.
Mr. O: Wait, the 44-leaf clover? It's real?
    Both Sallies: No/yes!
    Sister Sally 1: Sister Sally!
Sister Sally 2: Sorry, was I supposed to lie?
Sister Sally 1: Yeah, of course! We lie. We're villains.
  • Cassandra Truth: Only Opal, Oswald and Orla are aware that the clover is real — everyone else believes that it's nothing more than a legend, up to and including the Big O. Omar also believes that the clover is real after Opal explains its history to him, and the two set out along with Oswald and Orla over the course of the episode to retrieve it.
  • Chekhov's Gun: The Bag O' Machines that Mr. O gives Opal and Omar makes numerous appearances throughout the episode in order to help the agents get out of various jams.
    • Omar's New York City souvenir, which is a small model of the Empire State Building, helps him and Opal to measure how tall Oswald's painting is. It's later used to open the map containing the location of the clover.
  • Clothes Make the Superman: Opal and Omar have the ability to change into ski and snowboarding gear by tugging on their jackets' collars. Other than that, they're pretty much defenseless due to having no gadgets, since the Arctic HQ doesn't make them (despite the fact there's apparently a lab).
  • Comically Missing the Point: One of the Sallies says that if Opal and Omar are in New York City, then she and her sister will go there too. Mr. O mishears her, thinking that she means "too" as in "two"; i.e., they're going to a second New York City.
  • Continuity Nod: Opal identifies an agent in a painting hanging in the Museum of Natural Odd as Agent Oofa, a general in the Great Worm War.
  • Couch Gag: This episode has a different opening theme gag than the other gags seen in past episodes — instead of the Big O introducing herself, then someone else, then showing a random oddness slide before it goes back to her, she explains how she's in charge of Odd Squad agents, and shows the current Main 6 across 2 seasons on 2 slides before changing the slide to a picture of schoolkids as she explains that she doesn't teach those kinds of kids.
  • Cute, but Cacophonic: May God help your soul (and your eardrums) if you come across Opal and Omar shouting and screaming. Their combined lung power is enough to leave those like Olympia in absolute awe.
  • Desperately Looking for a Purpose in Life: Opal is tired from working in the Arctic Odd Squad precinct, and her primary goal is to do something big so that she and Omar will get noticed by the Big O, who will then transfer them into the precinct that they want. She gets a chance to make Odd Squad history when she receives a letter from Oswald regarding an Ancient Artifact known as the 44-leaf clover.
  • Diegetic Soundtrack Usage: Esmeralda Kim sings the theme song as Opal, Omar and Oswald head off to the Amazon rainforest to retrieve the clover.
  • Disproportionate Retribution: Because Mr. O misheard the first Sister Sally when she said that she and her sister were going to New York City too note , she decides to attack every single agent with tape.
  • Dramatic Curtain Toss: Zig-zagged in a triple subversion — Oswald tears the sheet off of what is believed to be the map, but is really a chair. Then he tears the sheet off of another item, which turns out to be a chair flipped upside down. By the third go-around he gets it right, and he tears another sheet off of an artifact which just so happens to be the map to the clover.
  • Early-Bird Cameo: Although not mentioned by name, Orla makes a cameo appearance in Opal's book, depicted as the guardian of the 44-leaf clover. She isn't properly introduced until "Odd Beginnings: Part 2".
  • Elaborate Underground Base: Notably averted — unlike other precincts' Headquarters seen in past episodes that were underground, Mr. O's Arctic Headquarters is situated in a small house located aboveground.
  • Episode Title Card: Following Oprah's promotion to the Big O, the title cards for each episode change from this episode on — while the basic aspect is the same (Oprah saying the episode name and opening the folder, then a zoom-in to the "case", or episode, in question), titles are printed on blue-green folders instead of manila folders, and the folders are placed on the Big O's desk. The writer and director credits are also shown in a different, smaller font on the bottom-left corner of the screen instead of on the bottom-right corner like it was in the past 2 seasons, where it was bigger and had a more noticeable font.
  • Establishing Character Moment: Opal is initially introduced as an energetic Genki Girl who craves adventure and is very much a Go-Getter Girl.
    • Omar is presented as a Pollyanna who is always enthusiastic and supports his partner in her endeavors. The episode also introduces his love of souvenirs as well as his constant need to get at least one for every location he visits.
    • The Mr. O that serves as Opal and Omar's boss in the Arctic is first seen as being very dimwitted and laid-back, and very weak despite being the leader of a precinct. Later episodes, as well as other media like OddTube, would show more of his personality.
  • Everyone Meets Everyone: By the end of the episode, Opal, Omar and Oswald are assembled as a group. "Odd Beginnings: Part 2" would have them go to the Amazon rainforest to meet Orla, rounding out the core 4.
    • It's subverted in the case of Oswald, who doesn't appear to be joining the cast at first since Opal and Omar are forced to leave him behind in the Odd Squad Museum with no way out, but then he manages to find a way out of the museum anyway and joins up with them.
  • Evil Redhead: One of the Sticky Sisters has red hair, and while she is evil, she is also quite incompetent compared to her sister.
  • Evolving Credits: The opening theme changes to reflect the new season. However, since Opal, Omar, Orla and Oswald aren't a group yet, the Big O once again handles narration, and clips from past Season 1 and Season 2 episodes as well as from World Turned Odd are featured. In addition, the Character in the Logo shot is removed, as well as the "Who do we work for?" line (which is normally spoken by the narrating agent in each season). The next episode following the two-parter, "Portalandia", would update the theme again to reflect the new Main 4's formation, with Opal handling narration duties in place of Olympia from last season.
  • Expy: Opal's overall personality bears resemblance to that of Olympia from the previous season, having the same Genki Girl personality and being The Perfectionist to the point where it's employed as a Fatal Flaw in some instances. She's also one to Otis and Olive, but to a lesser extent, being the Straight Man to her partner Omar.
    • Omar is one of Otto, being a Pollyanna who is often a little clueless when it comes to the world around him. He also shares Otto's Big Eater tendencies and his appetite, which pops up in later episodes such as "Raising the Bar".
    • Oswald is one of Oscar, sharing the ex-Scientist's nervousness as well as his general drive to help his teammates out whenever it's needed and his vast knowledge in various subjects. Bonus points go to Oscar being revealed to have had red hair when he was working as a tube operator in "Oscar of All Trades", and Oswald having the same color hair — not only that, but Gavin McIver-Wright (Oswald's actor) also played O'Paddy, a tube operator, in "Hands on a Desk Chair".
  • Facial Dialogue: Opal uses a lot of this. Her range of facial expressions rivals that of Olive from Season 1, who also had a wide range of expressions and used facial dialogue often.
  • Fictional Social Network: Oddstagram, a parody of Instagram, which is a social media network for Odd Squad agents.
  • Four-Leaf Clover: The 44-leaf clover is an ancient Odd Squad artifact that is commonly thought to be nothing more than a rumor by agents, up to and including Oprah herself. According to books of legend, whoever is in possession of it is granted magical powers, and the clover itself is stated to be 11 times luckier than a typical four-leaf clover. When Opal receives a letter from Oswald stating that the clover is real, she jumps on the chance to find it and save it.
  • Funny Background Event: During the scene with Opal and Omar at their desks, Mr. O can be seen in the background appearing deathly still and leaned back as though he's asleep. Considering that a later episode of OddTube reveals that he's a Sleepyhead who takes up to eight naps a day, it's only fitting that he'd be asleep.
  • Genki Girl: Opal could stand toe-to-toe with Olympia with how much energy and happiness she has. Omar, on the other hand, is more of a Pollyanna, being enthusiastic and cheerful but not having nearly the same amount of energy his partner has.
  • Hair-Trigger Avalanche: Opal and Omar's cheering doesn't just cause the cave they're in to crumble to the ground, it also causes an avalanche.
  • Idiosyncratic Wipes: This episode introduces a new transition wipe for the Big O, using the department's logo. A later episode would introduce one for the Mobile Unit as well.
  • Instant Costume Change: All it takes is for Oswald to spin around in his chair to switch out his Security outfit for an outfit belonging to the Library department.
  • Instantly Proven Wrong: When Mr. O is talking with O'Dowd about the whereabouts of Opal and Omar, he states that nothing odd ever happens in the Arctic. A second later and the Sticky Sisters enter Headquarters performing their Evil Laugh.
    Mr. O: Well, that's a first.
  • I Work Alone: Oswald works alone at the Odd Squad Museum of Natural Odd in New York City. However, apart from that, the trope is averted for the most part, as he's thrilled to experience what get out into the world after working behind a desk for most of his life.
  • Jumped at the Call: As soon as Opal gets wind of the 44-leaf clover being real, she decides to set out and find it, and she eventually convinces Omar to come along as well.
    • Once Oswald gets tangled up in the adventure, he's more than happy to come along, stating that he's spent his entire life behind a desk and wants to go on adventures to see what Odd Squad is truly about.
  • Last Place You Look: A common Running Gag for Mr. O is his inability to find his glasses, followed by someone pointing out that they're on his face.
  • Literal Metaphor: Opal is upset that the Sticky Sisters got away, and Omar, noticing she's upset, tells her to look on the bright side. She then asks what the bright side is, to which Omar responds that he thought it was just an expression.
  • Literal-Minded: When Omar and Opal lay their eyes on Oswald's map, the former looks at it in awe, inhales, then says to Oswald, "I don't see a map."
    • As the Sticky Sisters make their escape after barricading the door, Opal asks Oswald to tell her and Omar if there's another way out of the Odd Squad Museum. Oswald says there's another way out...but then states that he only said that because Opal asked him to.
  • Locked Out of the Loop: Unlike Opal, who is familiar with Oswald and has been discussing the 44-leaf clover with him via letters, Omar is unfamiliar with him, and is confused when he sends a letter back to Opal saying that he "found the map".
  • Made of Explodium: If one presses the wrong button on the chest containing the map to the clover, the chest will explode...with confetti.
  • Medium Awareness: Odd Squad: The Movie is actually canon in the show's universe, as the Sticky Sisters watched it while on their tour of New York City.
  • Mellow Fellow: While not to the extent of those like Ocean, Mr. O is very laid-back and has a positive outlook on things despite his idiocy.
  • Motor Mouth: Opal delves into this when explaining to whom she thinks is a regular Security agent about how she and Oswald are pen-pals and how they've communicated over the years.
  • Multi-Part Episode: The first one of Season 3. Notably, it's the first time that an episode is explicitly referred to as a two-parter rather than having two 11-minute segments in one episode — "Odd Beginnings" as a whole is a 45-minute episode, barring interstitials and PBS Kids promos.
  • Museum of the Strange and Unusual: Oswald runs an Odd Squad Museum in New York City, which houses artifacts from other Odd Squad precincts that are preserved. It's apparently a new establishment, as Oswald states that it only opened up 6 months ago.
  • Nice Job Breaking It, Hero: Opal and Omar are so excited about finding an oddity after years of failure that they cheer loud enough to cause a cave-in that nearly kills them...which in turn causes an avalanche.
Omar: So maybe next time, don't yell inside an ice cave.
    Opal: Agreed!
    • Omar posts a selfie of him and Opal to Oddstagram, which attracts the attention of two villainous siblings known as the Sticky Sisters, who go out to find the clover and steal it for themselves.
  • Non-Lethal Warfare: Implied. Since the show can Never Say "Die", the fate of the soldiers on both the villains' and heroes' side is left ambiguous, but Opal's wording of "Odd Squad won, obviously" implies that most, if not all, agents made it out intact. The villains' fates aren't stated, though. (And of course, Orla lives.)
  • Nothing Is the Same Anymore: This episode, as well as the next one, doesn't use Precinct 13579 as the main setting — rather, Opal and Omar go to various different locations on their journey. This would carry over into the rest of the season, as the whole premise is for the Mobile Unit to travel the world in search of oddness.
    • Aesops in episodes are no longer solely mathematical, due to the show's shift towards teaching more STEM-related lessons. Instead, both math and science lessons are taught beginning with this episode, where simple machines (a science concept) is the main Aesop.
  • Offscreen Teleportation: Mr. O's ice sculpture of himself does this, suddenly appearing behind Omar and Opal upon being pointed out by the Director and scaring them. Omar lampshades it.
Omar: [whispering] Where's that even come from?!
Opal: [whispering] I don't know, please don't ask.
    • The Sticky Sisters later do this shortly after Opal, Omar and Oswald find the location of the clover.
  • Oh, Crap!: Opal and Omar both have moments of this when escaping the cave-in and when seeing the avalanche.
    • A hilarious example occurs with the snowman that gets in the way of the avalanche, as it coal mouth falls apart upon seeing the disaster, making it look like it has an "O" mouth.
  • One Degree of Separation: It's revealed that Opal and Oswald have been writing each other letters over the course of many years (presumably about the 44-leaf clover), but have never gotten the chance to meet each other in person due to living so far away from each other. When they finally do meet in person upon Opal arriving to New York City (where Oswald is located), they hit it off right away.
  • One-Steve Limit: Averted in the case of the Sticky Sisters, who both have the name "Sally".
  • Opening Shout-Out: Opal quotes part of the opening theme at one point, which is lampshaded by Omar:
Opal: This is ridiculous! We should be in a place where we can investigate anything strange, weird, and especially odd.
Omar: Are you just doing the saying?
    Opal: A little.
  • Pointy-Haired Boss: Mr. O is by far the most incompetent Odd Squad Director in the series. He is very weak in battle, is unable to stand up to the Sticky Sisters when they invade his Headquarters, and is often unable to find his glasses which are already on his face. "Teach a Man to Ice Fish" expands on this further by revealing that the Arctic HQ is one big Incompetence, Inc., with its agents virtually clueless when it comes to solving cases. It's a miracle how the precinct is even operating with that much incompetence.
  • The Pollyanna: Omar is constantly enthusiastic and always finds the positive things in bad situations. Even Oswald has to comment on it at one point.
Oswald: [to Opal] Is he always this chipper?
Opal: No. Usually, it's even more!
  • Product Placement: It's par for the course for a scene set in New York City — there are ads for all kinds of things as well as stores.
  • Product-Promotion Parade: There is quite a bit of merchandise shown off in this episode, with two of the most prominent being one of the T-shirts sold in the show's Amazon store and jackalope ears with antlers (which isn't a real merch item).
  • Rage Breaking Point: At the climax of the episode, after Opal and Omar escape the Museum, Opal begins to lament how the Sticky Sisters got away from them. Omar tries to cheer his partner up, but she won't have it and snaps at him, ranting about how they'll be stuck working at the Arctic office forever and how the world will end once the Sticky Sisters get their hands on the clover. Omar then tries again in cheering her up, saying how the partner pair will find and protect the clover together, which lifts her spirits.
  • Rule of Three: Opal and Omar run into a snowman, a snow-family, and a snow-extended-family while outrunning the avalanche.
  • Running Gag: This episode introduces yet another season-long one: Esmerelda Kim, a young girl who wishes to join agents on their adventures, but is so preoccupied with other various things that she can't find the time to do so. Like with Sheila from Season 1, it's ultimately Running Gagged — Esmerelda ends up replacing Opal, departing from the Mobile Unit to make amends with her younger sister and help her reverse the damage she caused around the world, beginning in "Odd Off The Press".
  • Screw the Rules, I'm Doing What's Right!: Opal — and later on, Omar — decide to set out on a journey to save the 44-leaf clover without telling their boss. While this makes it seem like they're in the wrong, it's revealed that Mr. O, like most everyone else, believes that the clover doesn't exist, and he likely would have forbid them from going if they talked with him about it.
  • Siblings in Crime: The Sticky Sisters are a sibling pair of villainesses who attack by using sticky things such as tape. Both of them have the same name of "Sister Sally".
  • Spot the Imposter: In order to prove that Opal and Omar are actual Odd Squad agents and not villains (or turtles) disguised as agents, he tells them to measure the height of the painting that hangs next to his desk.
  • Sticky Situation: A common Running Gag and downside of the Sticky Sisters and their powers is that whenever they high-five or touch anything in general, their hands stick to each other, and it becomes hard to pry them apart. This causes major delays in their quest to find the clover and gives the agents a leg up.
  • Super Cell Reception: Omar can still post on Oddstagram despite him being in the Arctic, where Wi-Fi is practically nonexistent.
    • It's later defied by Mr. O, who reaches for his phone to call the Big O once he's free of the Sticky Sisters' tape trap, but realizes that the Arctic has bad reception.
  • Super-Strong Child: Notably averted in the case of Mr. O, who is an Odd Squad Director and yet is incredibly weak. It goes hand-in-hand with him being a Pointy-Haired Boss.
  • Tempting Fate: Omar says that it isn't like another adventure is going to fall into his and Opal's laps. Sure enough, an Odd Squad mail carrier comes along and places a letter on Opal's desk. It turns out to be from Oswald, who has located an ancient Odd Squad Artifact of Power.
Omar: Okay, I said our laps. That's the desk.
    • He later mentions how no villain is going to see the selfie he posts on Oddstagram. Of course, when he does post it, it grabs the attention of two villainesses known as the Sticky Sisters, who set out to beat Opal and Omar to the clover.
    • Once Oswald says that they have to find the clover before villains get it, Omar tacks on how they have to find it before Mr. O, his and Opal's boss, realizes they're gone. Opal then says that he'll never notice they're gone. Sure enough, the next scene has Mr. O discovering Opal and Omar missing.
  • Title Theme Drop: Opal and Omar arriving in New York City is accompanied by a jazzy remix of the opening theme that plays as background music.
  • Trademark Favorite Food: Mr. O's signature "drink" isn't a drink at all — rather, he eats icicles that come in different flavors due to the cold weather.
  • Useless Without Cell Phones: The entire plot practically hinges on cell phone usage, at least when it concerns the Sticky Sisters. They use their smartphones to identify the location of Opal and Omar, and later use it to take a photo of the map with the location of the clover so they can track it down.
  • Visual Pun: Opal and Omar have frozen laptops — as in, they are actually frozen in ice, due to the cold weather.
  • What Are Records?: When Mr. O shows Opal and Omar a stick (functioning as a lever) and a fulcrum, they look at it confusingly and ask how those items are machines, with Omar saying that it doesn't have wires or batteries to make it work.
  • Wingdinglish: There is a language known in the world of Odd Squad as "ancient Jackalopian". While the font looks like hieroglyphics, Oswald is able to translate it into English with ease.
  • Worldbuilding: This episode introduces quite a few new things in the world of the show.
    • The Arctic is revealed to have an Odd Squad precinct, with its Headquarters run by a Pointy-Haired Boss known as "Arctic Mr. O".
    • The Odd Squad Museum of Natural Odd note , a museum located in New York City where old or important artifacts from various precincts' Headquarters are sent to for preservation, is introduced. It's a recent addition, having opened only 6 months ago, and Oswald — referred to as a "library museum person" — is the person who keeps it running.
    • The aforementioned 44-leaf clover is introduced as an ancient Odd Squad artifact, and an arduous battle erupted between Odd Squad agents and villains many years ago for who would be in possession of it. When Odd Squad ended up winning, an agent known as Orla was tasked with guarding the clover, but what happened to the artifact after that is left unknown.
    • There is an ancient Odd Squad Headquarters located in the Amazon rainforest that houses the 44-leaf clover. The next episode reveals that this is the home of Orla, the clover's guardian, and that the Headquarters has stood for century upon century, but is largely abandoned.
    • The Big Office is seen for the first time after having had numerous mentions in the past. It's a very spacious building with lots of rooms and posted Security guards, and to see the Big O personally, one has to check in with a receptionist and state if their problem is a big emergency or a small one, which determines a person's priority in seeing her. For those who have small emergencies, they are forced to sit in a waiting room until (presumably) called.
    • There are at least 21 different departments in Odd Squad. Of the 16 that currently exist, 5 more are introduced in this episode. note
      • Graphing. note
      • Library. note
      • Gardening. note
      • Audio/Visual. note
      • Postal. note
  • Yank the Dog's Chain: After years of working at the Arctic Odd Squad Headquarters, Opal and Omar retrieve some semblance of oddness in the form of two snowflakes that look exactly the same, and bring them back to show Mr. O. However, due to experiencing delays with a cave-in and an avalanche (of their own doing), by the time they get back to Headquarters, the snowflakes have melted, leaving them heartbroken. This is the final straw for Opal in particular, as once she gets Oswald's letter about the 44-leaf clover, she immediately jumps on the chance to get it.
    • There's also another moment of the chain being yanked when Mr. O suggests that he give Opal and Omar some machines to cheer them up. They begin cheering, thinking they're getting gadgets, and Mr. O lets them get their happiness out...right before he says that he meant simple machines, not gadgets, which earns him a What the Hell, Hero? reaction from the two agents.
  • You Didn't See That: When Mr. O walks towards what he thinks is the tube entrance, O'Dowd tells him that he walked into a coat closet. He then comes out and shields his face, repeatedly saying "I'm not here!" as he opens the door leading outside.
