As Applejack and Rainbow Dash get ready to go surfing, Fluttershy's brother Zephyr Breeze shows up and offers to give them some tips, bragging that he's been surfing all his life. He cuts off Fluttershy's attempt to tell them otherwise, but he gets scared as Applejack and Rainbow hit the waves. The two girls prove skilled at surfing, while Zephyr wipes out in spectacular fashion and has to be rescued by a lifeguard. Applejack berates him for risking his safety on the waves without knowing how to surf, and he begs Rainbow to teach him. Rainbow agrees, but says that she's only doing it for his board Gladys and whispers to it that it doesn't deserve him.

- Blatant Lies: Zephyr tries to claim he's been a long time surfer, even though Fluttershy is quick to contradict him. Rainbow Dash and Applejack decide to force his hand rather than just call him on it.
- I Call It "Vera": Zephyr names his board "Gladys." By the end of the short, Rainbow is doing it too.
- Puppy-Dog Eyes: Zephyr makes a pitiful face to try and convince Rainbow Dash to teach him how to surf. She relents.
