    Season 1 (December 20, 2017)
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/money_heist_part_1_poster.jpg

A young female robber known as "Tokyo" is saved from getting arrested by a man only known as "The Professor", who proposes her to join a diverse team of robbers for a large multi-day heist he has planned, with the Royal Mint of Spain as the target location. When Tokyo decides to join in, she's told that the goal is different from that of most heists: instead of stealing money, they're going to use the Mint's equipment and employees to print 2.4 billion euros for themselves.

Once the team gets inside the mint and takes everyone inside it as hostages while preparing the printing equipment, the police set up a camp nearby to keep them under watch. At command of the case in the police's side is Inspector Raquel Murillo, who's struggling between a family life as a divorced mother and a job life surrounded by people who don't expect much of her. That, alongside the issues that the criminals and other officers have within their respective groups, are bound to screw up the Professor's schemes sooner or later.

  1. "Episode 1": The Professor recruits the criminals for the heist. Later on, the multi-day assault on the Mint begins.
  2. "Episode 2": Through Raquel, the police makes contact with the Professor for the first time. 3. "Episode 3": The police manage to get a face of Rio to identify him through Alison's phone, which begins a chain of conflicts between the criminals in regards to their conduct. Meanwhile, the Professor begins to see Raquel at a bar.
  4. "Episode 4": As the conflicts between the robbers escalate with Denver trying to cover up his disobedience to Berlin, the hostages get frightened by the situation. Raquel commits her first mistake in the case when she unwittingly orders the police's sniper team to shoot Arturo, one of the hostages and the Mint's director.
  5. "Episode 5": When the heist team allows for a medical team to enter the Mint in order to treat Arturo, the police attempts to take advantage of the situation by sending Sub-inspector Ángel Rubio alongside the team and a pair of special operations officers to infiltrate through the Mint's vents.
  6. "Episode 6": The Professor manages to counter the police's plan to capture the robbers with one of his plans, but he's only given a short period of relief before he's told about everything that happened between the robbers. Meanwhile, Rio, who's in charge of watching Alison, is disturbed by the news about the heist that are appearing on television.
  7. "Episode 7": The Professor finds himself at risk of getting his identity exposed when the police make their first discovery of a piece of evidence outside the heist. Two screw-ups, one from him and another one from one of the heist team members, only makes matters worse for him.
  8. "Episode 8": When Raquel is criticized for her conduct in handling the case and the public opinion begins to shift in favor of the robbers, the police begins a plan to convince the public to support them again. Meanwhile, Tokyo becomes suspicious of Alison when she thinks that the latter is trying to steal Rio's heart from her.

Mónica, Arturo's affair interest, also has her own affair with Denver after falling for him. A hostage named Jacinto executes Arturo's escape plan with numerous other hostages.
  13. "Episode 13": After Arturo's escape plan goes successful with a group of hostages leaving the Mint (albeit with Arturo still inside), the robbers encourage the remaining ones to decide whether they'd like to escape as well or get a million euros of the printed money for themselves for staying instead. Meanwhile, the Professor attempts to handle a meeting with Raquel's mother.
