"Operation Sleepover": Molly spends the night at Tooey's house when a blizzard strikes Qyah. They bring the dogs inside for the night, and chaos erupts.
"Operation Sleepover" contains the following tropes:
- Ascended Fanboy: Tooey's hero Eugene Pike has asked him to write an article on sled dog care for his blog. Tooey takes this charge very seriously.
- Braving the Blizzard: Kenji sets up a rope from the house to the kennel every winter so that the family can feed the dogs even during a whiteout blizzard.
- Cat/Dog Dichotomy: When Mouse the cat shows up, he naturally must provoke the sled dogs, and the dogs must naturally chase him.
- I'll Pretend I Didn't Hear That: Atsaq instructs Tooey and Molly to clean up the dogs' mess that she's pretending not to see.
- Slumber Party: Molly and Tooey turn their sleepover into a full on slumber party for the sled dogs. Though the "party" bit was more the dogs' idea.
"Beneath the Surface": Molly loses her fish charm bracelet while ice fishing.
"Beneath the Surface" contains the following tropes:
- Chekhov's Gun: The magnets Nina uses as paperweights end up being exactly what Molly needs to rescue her bracelet from the bottom of the lake.
- Eyedscreen: Molly and Tooey challenge each other to a fish-off.
- Fishing Episode: The entire town of Qyah turns out for the first day of ice fishing season.
