Rita and Rito's father, Master Vile, comes to the moon with a wicked scheme to destroy the Earth using an ancient power source known as the Zeo Crystal. To offset Vile's enhancing of the Tenga Warriors, the Power Rangers are given an upgrade of Metallic Armor. Will it be enough to help against Vile's power-absorbing Blue Globbor monster?

- Only the Worthy May Pass: The force field surrounding the Zeo Crystal will only allow the pure of heart to pass. Zordon and Ninjor never expected Zedd to be able to breach the force field, but they're worried that Master Vile could find a way.
- O.O.C. Is Serious Business: When the Moon Palace is breached, Rita's reaction is subdued awe and deference. This not only immediately foreshadows the reveal that Master Vile is her father, but also speaks volumes about how powerful and dangerous he must be for Rita to react this way.
- Power-Up Food: Whatever Master Vile feeds the Tengas makes them strong enough that the only way the Rangers can beat them is by using the new Metallic Armor.
- We Need a Distraction: Kat goes with Tommy to the Moon Palace so that she can keep Zedd and Rita busy, while he heads to the Caves of Deception.
- Yank the Dog's Chain: Just after escaping being Zedd and Rita's prisoner, Ninjor is captured again by the Blue Globber, with his power drained on top of it.
