- Attack of the 50-Foot Whatever: The mutant seahorse.
- Ax-Crazy: Dick Knubbler was facing jail time for drug use and disfiguring a woman's face with acid.
- Early-Installment Weirdness: The Dethsub is manned by the Russian Navy as opposed to any of Dethklok's employees, especially curious since later episodes indicate that Klokateers often taken on very specialized skills so seafaring would hardly be an exception.
- Eye Scream: Dick's eyes explode from rising too fast.
- Foreshadowing: Those whale noises the band accidentally record play an important role in the later seasons.
