Happy Birthday, Murderface
The rest of the band struggles to find a birthday gift for Murderface.

Tropes:

  • A Day in the Limelight: For Murderface.
  • Absurdly Elderly Mother: At least according to the Freeze-Frame Bonus Prince Henry is the youngest son of the Queen, who looks old enough to be his grandmother.
  • Bilingual Bonus: Murderface's name is censored in the French news coverage due to his name having a resemblance to "merde" which means shit.
  • Blood from the Mouth: The Queen of Denmark throws some up after sampling the mercury frosting of Murderface's birthday cake.
  • Cool Car: Murderface gets a car worthy of his morbid collection. It's the limousine John F. Kennedy was killed in, with the driver's seat being the seat Abraham Lincoln was sitting at when he was killed.
  • Early-Installment Weirdness: Murderface is considered just as much a beloved member of the band as the audience cheers for his bass solo, and has a huge birthday party. Future episodes have fans forget or even believe he's part of the band, thinking he's a roadie.
  • Early-Bird Cameo: A Freeze-Frame Bonus of the newspaper involving the Danish Prince has a story that name drops Snakes n' Barrels, Pickles' old band, before their episode.
  • Exact Words: Nathan orders the cake be the most "metal cake" possible. The cake frosting is made of mercury.
  • Flipping the Bird: Murderface gives the finger to the Klokateer he tells that he'll send for his things in the morning.
  • Hard Head: Murderface headbutts a guy hard enough to fracture his skull, and plays on like it barely phases him.
  • Incoming Ham: "I HEARD IT'S SOMEBODY'S BIRTHDAYYYY!"
  • Masochist's Meal: A cake with frosting made out of mercury.
  • Mistaken Nationality: Skwisgaar confuses the Danish with the Dutch. Then again so does the newspaper writer who seems to share a similar contempt and even the Queen herself it seems as she presented Murderface with a poem by Pieter Corneliszoon Hooft who is Dutch (made even more confusing by the fact that the document uses the actual Danish coat of arms).
  • No Celebrities Were Harmed: The Queen seems to be heavily based on the then-real life Queen of Denmark Margrethe II albeit with some artistic license such as the lack of glasses and also there not having a son named Henry.
  • No-Holds-Barred Beatdown: Dr. Rockzo gets a beatdown by the Klokateers after Murderface gives them the throat slash sign.
  • One-Scene Wonder: Doctor Rockso's first appearance.
  • Shout-Out:
  • Suicide Dare: When Murderface walks off stage after being given nothing by the band, Skwisgar tells him to go play records backwards and kill himself.
  • Tears of Blood: Murderface when he finds out he gets to destroy a piece of American history.
  • Use Your Head: Murderface headbutts an audience member getting a little too close to him during his solo. He also gives one of these to Doctor Rockso.
