Recap / Kill La Kill Ep 11 Im Not Your Cute Woman

Go To

Ryuko and Nonon's battle continues with the former managing to win after an extremely tough fight. She then goes on to face Sanageyama once again...until a mysterious new girl suddenly shows up.

  • Attack Its Weak Point: This episode reveals that all Goku Uniforms have a piece called a Banshi which holds them together (they're the red threads that Senkenstu absorbs whenever Ryuko shreds an opponent's uniform). Nui goes right for Sanageyama's when he tries to fight her. Iori points out that it's impossible for anyone to find a Banshi so easily.
  • Badass Normal: Nui, the others are surprised she can fight with no need for a Goku uniform.
  • Catch and Return: Ryuko does this twice in her battle with Nonon.
  • Curb-Stomp Battle: Nui to Sanageyama just to show how dangerous she is.
  • Don't Celebrate Just Yet: Ryuko thinks she's won once she knocks Nonon out of the sky. But then the audience starts calling for an "encore" and it's revealed that Nonon's not quite beaten just yet, leading into the second half of their fight.
  • High-Altitude Battle: The first half of Ryuko and Nonon's fight takes place entirely in the air.
  • O.O.C. Is Serious Business: When Nui shows up, Satsuki commands Sanageyama to get back. This is something the other Elite Four take notice of as it's the first time they've seen her genuinely afraid.
  • The Power of Rock: What the finale of Nonon's battle ends up coming down via a Beam-O-War of their musical vibes.
  • The Unfought: Just when it seems Round 3 of Ryuko vs Sanageyama is all set, Nui suddenly shows and takes him out herself.
  • This Is for Emphasis, Bitch!: Ryuko to Nui after learning of the latter's role for the former's dad's death.
  • Wham Shot: Nui crashes the tournament and reveals that she was the one who killed Ryuko's father, and has the other half of the scissor blade to prove it. Naturally, this news doesn't go over well with Ryuko.
