Ryuko fights Nui Harime after learning she killed her father. However she finds that her anger + boiling blood while wearing Senketsu equals a bad combination.

Edited for Syndication: Again The Stinger was cut out in the Toonami broadcast - Eye Scream: We see in the flashback that Nui lost her left eye when Isshin managed to catch her off guard with the rendering scissors.
- Flashback: We see how Isshin, Ryuko's father, was killed by Nui.
- Foreshadowing: Nui is able to regenerate her body whenever she takes damage, but it turns out she has been wearing an eye patch after Isshin cuts her with the Rendering Scissors, implying what she is and how she is affected. We won't know the full effects of it until near the end of the series.
- Get A Hold Of Yourself Man: Mako saves Ryuko and brings her back to normal simply by slapping her till she de-morphs.
- Humanoid Abomination: Ryuko when she loses control of her anger and it affects Senkestu turning both of them into a deformed rampaging monster.
- No-Sell:
- Nui tries the same fingernail trick she used on Sanageyama on Ryuko. But it doesn't work as Senketsu is strengthen by banshi life fibers. All she managed to do was pull one out.
- Nothing Tsumugu throws at Nui has any effect on her. Even when he blows up a hallway with her in it.
- Revenge by Proxy: Satsuki figures this is the main reason Nui is after Ryuko due to Isshin managing to take her eye and hiding Senkestu.
- The Reveal: Satsuki reveals to Ryuko that she sent Nui to investigate the development of the Scissor Blades and steal them, but never told her to kill him.
- Xanatos Gambit: Revealed in The Stinger, Satsuki had used the so called "Elections" just to pinpoint the weakness in the Elitie Four Goku Uniform and strengthen them. As well as using the data from the battles to be used for her army. She now plans on heading out to take over all of Japan.
