Student Council Training Arc Summary

Chapter 46: Ameri’s Decision

As the days go by, Ameri is still struggling to handle the thought of Iruma being a pervert that wears female clothing. So much so that she's unable to get her work done for the student council, such as the need to scout out a new member. Ameri thinks over her current friendship with Iruma unable to put together what he is to her, and decides that she needs to have a straight talk with him. Unfortunately, the misunderstanding continues when she comes across him with Kerori forcing female clothing upon him again for the sake of her secret Akudol job.

Ameri drags Iruma back to the council room where she brings up the issue that due to Kirio's departure, the Magic Tools Research Battler division no longer has the requirements, such as a participating 3rd-year student, to remain active. As a result, the division's remaining members are required to spend weeks participating in other Battler divisions to earn letters of recommendation from their leaders in order to recreate their division. Azz and Clara wind up being put into the Magecraft Development and Game divisions respectively, and Ameri, who desires to fix Iruma's "questionable personality," has decided to recruit Iruma into the student council.

Chapter 47: The Demonic Student Council

On his first day of being in a new division, Iruma experiences the hectic but determined work that comes with being a member of the student council. As the newcomer, Iruma's put through intense training to act as a proper noble student that will lead the school by example. Iruma is quite fatigued after the first day, but Ameri makes it quite clear that Iruma needs to be someone who never displays weakness, such as her quickly dealing with a demon student who's currently going through his demon-cycle phase. Overall, Iruma is left impressed by how Ameri presents herself as the school president.

After school, Ameri gets to show off her kind and friendly traits again listening to Iruma reading to her the next volume of "First Love Memories." Iruma notices how different Ameri acts when they're alone compared to when she's working for the student council, which Ameri realizes that she's been coming off as a scary person when she's working as the school president. Ameri then accidentally breaks the cup of tea she's holding, and takes it as a sign of bad luck. Sure enough, a mysterious demon student is seen in an unknown cave making a potion that it claims will bring an end to Ameri.

Chapter 48: The Crumbling Heroine

Over time, Iruma gets the hang of his work for the student council to the point of impressing his fellow councilmen. Ameri watches on hearing her council subordinates praise Iruma's efforts, which she happily comes to the decision that it will benefit Iruma greatly to eventually recruit him as an official member of the student council. An announcment by the Broadcasting division is then heard for the president to make her way to one of the Preparation Rooms, which Ameri heads off to on her own. She arrives at the room and is met by the mysterious demon student, but before she could figure out what's going on, said demon catches her off-guard, and knocks her out by making her sniff the potion it made.

Back at the council room, the Broadcasting president, Baraki, arrives to warn Iruma and company that the announcement wasn't theirs. The student council members make their way to the Preparation Room to find an unconscious Ameri looking completely normal and unharmed. Once Ameri wakes up however, they witness Ameri showing off a nervous and girly persona nothing like how she normally acts. Thus, making it quite clear that the unknown potion she was hit with completely changed her personality.

Chapter 49: The Devil Maiden

Iruma and company bring Ameri to the Medical Office where the teacher, Momonoki, confirms that Ameri's health is still normal. However, Momonoki assures them that the best option to not cause any unnecessary harm to Ameri is to let the potion wear off over time. As a result, the student council attempts to perform their daily routine while Ameri's in "Maiden Mode," which leaves them completely fatigued since the work that Ameri did compared to the rest of the council was a lot. The council then remembers what Kalego warned them that if they don't resolve this issue soon, it will result in the student council being suspended.

The student council establishes their main goal, which is to find the culprit behind Ameri's transformation. Upon returning to the council room however, they're greeted by Ronove Lomiere, the fabulous performing lead student of the school's Discipline division. Ronove announces his intentions to take over the student council having grown tired of being ignored by it. Thus, making him a prime suspect behind Ameri's transformation.

Chapter 50: The Charming Ronove

After hearing Ronove's declaration of war, Ameri's subordinates accuse him of attacking the president, but Ronove appears to not know anything about that. He then gets back to the topic at hand, and claims that while the student council's president is in a state of weakness, it's the perfect time to challenge her to a one-on-one Dissolution Election Match. The rules of the election is that if many students are dissatisfied with the current student council, a Battler division can challenge them for the right to become the new student council. The loser of the election would then have their division dissolved immediately.

Ronove shows off a long list of signatures he gathered of dissatisfied students, and makes a move on Ameri inviting her current Maiden Mode form to be his new council secretary. However, Iruma steps in and defends her; claiming that suddenly touching a girl's hair is impolite, and leaves Ameri impressed. Despite the rude action, Ronove accepts Iruma's scolding, and heads off to begin his election campaign, which the council begins preparing for as well.

Later on, the student council and Discipline divisions begin their election campaigns on campus in front of many of the school's students. Thanks to Ronove's charisma blood-line ability, he's able to easily grab the attention of many students, and announces his plan, which is basically to make school more enjoyable by shortening classes in order to have more time for fun activities and parties. Meanwhile, Ameri struggles to tell her speech as being in Maiden Mode has made her too nervous; leaving her with just a few sympathizer fans. The council all agrees to continue to try helping Ameri, which Iruma decides to call upon Azz and Clara for help. Once Iruma's confirmed Azz and Clara's support, he's suddenly met by Ameri wanting to have a talk with him.

Chapter 51: Overflowing With Feelings

Iruma is brought back to the council room, and remains on standby until Ameri is ready for the talk. At this point, Ali finally appears again out of the Gluttony Ring warning Iruma to always be on his guard when it comes to women. However, Ali also displays anger that Iruma's been ignoring him up to this point in favor of Ameri. Iruma apologizes for ignoring him, and asks if Ali knows about the magic affecting Ameri. He assures Iruma that it's close to wearing off, but that there's a knot in the magic that Ameri is currently having trouble getting over. Ameri then enters the room trying to display confidence, but once more falls back into her nervous Maiden Mode. She explains her recent worries about how she's been a burden to the student council, and to the people that she's come to really care for.

Ameri remains worried that the people she cares for are only interested in her former confident persona rather than the nervous one she is currently. As a result, she claims that she would rather run away than end up a failure, which would bring mockery to the one's she cares about. Making a declaration to Iruma, Ameri states that she would gladly stay in Maiden Mode if it means that she can stay with him. However, Iruma rejects Ameri, and reminds her of her ambition. That it's her drive towards the ambition she wants, and overcoming the many challenges said ambition brings, that has led to many people wanting to follow her, such as her council subordinates. Ameri remains unconvinced, but Iruma then holds her head, and says face-to-face to her that she's a wonderful girl, that she should keep her head up, and continue following her dream to make it come true despite having gone through a change. The moment leaves a huge impression on Ameri, and finally calms down. She asks for Iruma to have her back, which he takes her hand and accepts.

As the day of the Dissolution Election Match arrives, Azz and Clara meet behind-the-scenes having been recruited by Iruma to search for the culprit behind Ameri's transformation. The two of them chat about their current objectives for their temporary Battler divisions, and come to realize that both the tasks they've been given are somewhat related to Ameri's current predicament: Clara needing to search for a borrowed persona difference dating game, and Azz needing to pick up research data on material modification magic.

Chapter 52: The President of the Student Council’s Scene

The election begins with Baraki serving as the announcer. The rule being that Ronove and Ameri will give their last 3 minute speeches before the demon students vote on the winner. Ronove is the first to give his speech, which he basically wants to make a school of pleasure. That they should make a paradise of fun rather than endure the hardships of work and boredom. Along with his charisma blood-line ability, he easily hypes up the students in the audience to follow his objective.

It's then Ameri's turn to speak, but she gets off to a rough start due to still being in her nervous Maiden Mode. However, she remembers back to the moment where Iruma told her to keep her head up. Ameri does so looking at her audience, and finally starts to remember what she's been working towards up to this point. She then speaks up in Maiden Mode revealing that despite her current weaknesses, there's always been one (Iruma) who believes in her desire, and that upon seeing everyone now, she now has no desire to give up being president as she wants to make Babyls the best school. She reminds the students that all demons have desire, and that they shouldn't let go of the dreams they desire just to be spoiled by easy pleasure.

At this point, Ameri is finally able to break out of Maiden Mode, and yells for the students to follow her ambition of making the best school that will nurture evil demons to fulfill their innermost desires. The crowd all cheers having been won over by Ameri's speech while Ronove falls over in defeat unable to handle Ameri's words. She then looks at Iruma cheering her on in the audience and finally begins to realize what the boy is to her. Ameri's thankful that Iruma's influence allowed her to finally reveal her ambition that she's never told in front of a large crowd. She also comes to the realization that she may have fallen in love with him.

Chapter 53: Renewed Ambition

Some time after the election, Iruma is seen talking with Ameri over the phone where it turns out that things for the student council have gone back to normal, but that Iruma turned down joining it. The story then flashes back to moments after the election where Ronove lies in defeat within the council room. Ameri's subordinates remain suspicious that Ronove was behind Ameri's transformation, but Ronove still denies performing such an act. Clara and Azz then arrive having caught Elicos Schenell; a 2nd-year student that was behind Ameri's persona change. They were able to catch him given the information they had on the tools he borrowed from the Magic Development and Game divisions.

Elicos is questioned as to why he attacked the president, and it turns out he leads a fan-club that worships Ameri. He yells proudly that it was his ambition as the captain of the president's defense troops to see a gentle Ameri. In return, Ameri angrily accepts his ambition by punishing him to do the student council training 50 times. Ameri then invites Ronove into the student council having found the recent experience interesting, and even allows for Ronove to continue showing off as long as he takes his work seriously, which Ronove happily accepts. Finally, Ameri gives Iruma the choice to either stay a part of the student council, or to remake his Magic Tools Research division since he's been approved by Ameri and company to do so. In the end, Iruma chooses to return to his Magic Tools Research division since he desires to find his own ambition rather than follow along with the student council's, and because he's waiting for someone to return (referring to Kirio).

Back to the present, Ali pops out after Iruma finishes his phone call with Ameri. Ali goes about teasing Iruma that the boy got himself a good girlfriend, but Iruma tries to deny it. Iruma then asks what Ali thinks of the spell that affected Ameri, which the ring spirit answers that it was Ameri "wanting to be cute." Sure enough, Ameri is seen blushing and acting nervous after her phone call with Iruma as it turns out that she's still struggling to understand the feeling of love that she now has for Iruma. She then thinks about maybe changing her appearance to look cuter, but decides not to upon remembering the moment Iruma told her face-to-face that she's a wonderful woman no matter the appearance. Having decided Iruma to be a new ambition of hers, Ameri hopes that Iruma is prepared for her determination.
