Table For Too Many

Dwayne Bouffant calls Manny to build a table for a dinner party he’s having later that evening; unfortunately, the amount of guests that can attend the dinner party keeps changing, so how big is Manny supposed to build the table?

Tropes in “Table For Too Many” include:

  • Affectionate Nickname: Mrs. Bouffant is once again shown to call her husband “Dwayney”; Dwayne reciprocates by calling her “my little buttercup”.
  • The Bus Came Back: Dwayne Bouffant returns after a long period of absence.
  • Cats Are Lazy: When Mr. Lopart builds a cotton-candy machine that’s supposed to be powered by Fluffy running in a giant hamster wheel, Fluffy just lies down in the wheel and naps.
  • Continuity Nod: Mrs. Bouffant is once again shown to call her husband “Dwayney”.
  • Covered in Gunge: Mr. Lopart end up getting a whole bucket of cotton candy dumped on his head, courtesy of Fluffy jumping out of the Fluffy-wheel-powered cotton candy machine to chase a bird.
  • Fun with Homophones: “Leaves” are removable extra sections of a table, Pat.
Manny: So I was thinking, we could build you a table with a few extra leaves.
Pat: I don’t think leaves would be strong enough for a table.
  • Hamster-Wheel Power: Mr. Lopart tries to make a cotton candy machine that’s powered by Fluffy running in an extra-large hamster wheel. Naturally, this contraption falls apart within about two minutes.
  • Pun-Based Title: On the idea of a “table for two”.

Bunk Bed

Manny goes to the Lees’ house to help move Nelson’s things into Kevin’s room (the Lees’ grandmother is coming to live with them, and she needs a room), but finds that there isn’t enough space in Kevin’s room for both of their beds. Unless he can harness the extra space provided by… THE THIRD DIMENSION!
