Nick couldn't bring himself to kill Juliette. Trubel, on the other hand...

O, from this time forth, my thoughts be bloody or be nothing worth.

After a horrifying discovery leaves Nick stunned, he is determined to get revenge.

Juliette is led farther down a dark path.

This episode contains examples of:

  • And This Is for...: As Nick stabs Kenneth in the neck, he says this.
  • Call-Back: Nick kills Kenneth with the vambrace he used in "Cold Blooded", which apparently survived the fire.
  • Cliffhanger: The episode, and season, ends with Nick sobbing over Juliette's body as a SWAT team led by Agent Chavez approach the house, intending to take "her".
  • Frame-Up:
    • The plan for dealing with Kenneth. First, they collect the head of the Hundjager who followed Trubel and wrap it up in saran wrap. Then, Adalind (who still has her key to Kenneth's penthouse at the Deluxe) returns to her room, plants the head and pretends to find it. Nick and Hank get the case and put an APB on all Kenneth's vehicles. Wu arrests him, but instead of taking him to the station takes him to an Abandoned Warehouse where Nick is waiting. The pair fight, and Nick kills Kenneth.
    • Kenneth comes in useful again in getting the Jack the Ripper case resolved without implicating Renard. The description given by the prostitute the guys saved last episode is of a tall, well-dressed man with a British accent; close enough to Kenneth that he can be used as a scapegoat.
Renard: [Slipping a scalpel into a dead Kenneth's jacket] I wish I could tell him how much I appreciate this.
    Hank: Maybe Jack told him.
  • Pre-Mortem One-Liner: "Goodbye, Juliette."
  • Underestimating Badassery: Kenneth thinks he can throw a few taunts around and beat Nick in a fight. He's pretty thoroughly mistaken.
