Baron Samedi bites off more than he can chew, and Nick wakes up with an attitude.

But if I stand at the sick person's feet, he is mine.

The Portland police are occupied with controlling the zombie waves, notably in the docks, where Monroe's party must be rescued so they can cure the victims.

Baron Samedi's abduction of Nick gets off to a flying start, only to crash and burn, leaving Nick's friends to track him down before anyone else gets hurt.

In Austria, Popescu's gang puts Adalind through an elaborate, gruesomely bloody ritual to get her powers back.

This episode provides examples of:

  • Bar Brawl: A very one-sided version as Zombified!Nick tears his way through a biker bar.
  • Battle atop the Poles: Monroe, Rosalee and Juliet climb to the top of some stacked shipping containers to avoid being swamped by Baron Samedi's zombies.
  • Cliffhanger: Zombified!Nick, having just torn his way through a biker bar, runs through a forest but is distracted by a sound. The sound is a family with two children, and Nick watches them sinisterly from the shadows...
  • False Reassurance: When Stefania assures Adalind that the ritual to restore her power doesn't literally require her to "walk a mile in [Frau Pech's] feet."
    Adalind: Oh, good.
Stefania: But you still have to cut off her hands, feet, and pluck out her eyes.
  • Hoist by Their Own Petard: Baron Samedi dies when a zombified Nick wakes on the aeroplane and goes on a rampage.
  • Just in Time: Averted. The Grimm Gang reach the airport just too late to prevent Nick's abductors from flying away with him. Renard does successfully get the flight grounded, but the pilot ignores the order and takes off anyway.
  • Once More, with Clarity: The episode opens on the events of the last season's cliffhanger. However, now it's edited a little differently so that Monroe, Rosalee and Juliette's difficulties with the car, which seemed to happen simultaneously with Nick's kidnapping, now happens a few minutes earlier. We also see that Renard has followed his brother to the shipyard, and thus becomes aware of the kidnapping.
  • Outside-Context Problem: Baron Samedi does not cope well with someone who is no longer vulnerable to his venom, super-strong and mightily pissed at him.
  • Smug Snake: Baron Samedi, who has drastically overestimated his control over a zombified Nick. Verges on Too Stupid To Live as, when Nick breaks out of the steel coffin, the Baron just spits in his face again and assumes that'll do the trick. When it becomes apparent he can't control Nick, he spends the whole plane crash yelling that he's Nick's master.
