It's Madame Foster's birthday, and the whole house is preparing for her party. Unfortunately for Frankie, Mr. Herriman insists that she run to the mall to buy streamers in the half-hour before the party is supposed to start. Sounds like an easy task, right? Well, it would be ... if the destructive Bloo didn't decide to tag along to find a last-minute present for Madame Foster wouldn't be that difficult alongside Mac, Wilt, Eduardo, and Coco and they all manage to get lost in the mall. It's a race against the clock for Frankie to find everyone and get back to the party in time!

(spoiler alert/no spoiler alert, they arrive just as the party's over)

Tropes found in this episode include:

  • Birthday Episode: The entire plot kicks off because it's Madame Foster's birthday.
  • Brick Joke: When they first get to the mall, Wilt gets stuck holding the door for people. By the time the group leaves the mall, he's still there.
  • Characterisation Click Moment: This episode showcases the far more modern and more well-known traits of certain characters of the show. Particularly Mac being the only person with an IQ and stable head above room temperature, and Bloo being a troublemaking Jerkass. note
  • Exact Words: The security officer Bloo kicks puts out a notice for a "light-blue imaginary friend". When two other officers confront Bloo on the charges, Bloo states it can't possibly be him because he insists he didn't steal anything and he's not "light-blue" he's "regular blue". This then starts a long discussion between the officers and a few others on what type of blue Bloo actually is, missing the point entirely. Bloo then outs himself when he tries to leave by saying he paid for the couch cushions fair and square, making everyone realize he is the shoplifter.
  • Hypocrite: Throughout the episode, Bloo berates Coco for not having any money and because of this, she has no say in anything. This is despite Bloo himself being poor and the money he had are actually from his friends (aside from a mere $2.50 he had).
  • Insane Troll Logic: Mr. Herriman refuses to have a party without streamers...despite arguments that they could easily throw a party without them.
  • Laser-Guided Karma: Bloo gets some well-deserved karma for his behavior throughout the episode when his gift to Madame Foster gets rejected (being one of the chairs from the bus since he couldn't buy the real vibrating chair) and he gets a well-deserved painful kick in the shin by Coco for all the trouble he caused everyone at the mall, hurting her feelings and being a major cheapskate.
  • Mix-and-Match Critters: Coco is regularly described as a "plant-bird-airplane thing".
  • Motor Mouth: Downplayed for Mac. As he only does it once when telling Frankie where the others are.
  • Offscreen Moment of Awesome: Somehow Coco managed to get three jobs, do well enough at them to earn significant money, and buy an expensive massage chair as a gift for Madame Foster...in thirty minutes.
  • Only Sane Man: Once again, Mac is the only one capable of keeping a cool head during the episode. As Frankie says it best:
Frankie: You are the voice of reason among raving lunatics!
  • Pop-Culture Pun Episode Title: This episode's title is a reference to the Star Wars franchise.
  • Puppy-Dog Eyes: Bloo uses a variation to get Frankie to let him come to the mall with her.
  • Running Gag:
    • Bloo trying to find a gift for Madame Foster, only to get upset when the thing he wants isn't what he can afford, calls a store employee a "rip-off artist", and kicks them in the shin.
    • Coco getting several jobs around the mall, going from a job at a hot dog place in the cafeteria, to a lost-and-found clerk, to a mall security guard.
  • Suddenly Shouting: Frankie gets very loud when she's stressed.
  • Too Good to Be True: Bloo finds out the hard way that a vibrator is not free when he falls for a mall scam from a salesman that tells him it's free, only to find out after signing tons of paperwork that he's in nearly fifty year commitment for pager service and that will be costing him almost a thousand dollars!
