This is the recap page for El Tigre: The Adventures of Manny Rivera, the critically acclaimed but short-lived 23rd entry of the Nicktoons franchise created by Jorge Gutierrez (who would go on to direct The Book of Life). It centers on Manny Rivera (El Tigre), the son of superhero White Pantera (Rodolfo Rivera) and grandson of supervillain Puma Loco (Grandpapi), and his adventures in fighting evil and causing trouble with his friend Frida Suarez.

Episode List

1a. Sole of a Hero: Manny and Frida damage Rodolfo's Bronze Boots of Truth while messing around with them, and they don't tell him, which leads to Rodolfo falling into depression when he believes he is no longer in his prime.

1b. Night of the Living Guacamole: When Manny and Frida spend money meant for guacamole on a laser tattoo maker, they substitute with samples that are part of a scheme by young mad scientist Dr. Chipotle Jr. to make guacamole zombies.

2a. Enter the Cuervo: Frida's birthday is coming up, and she wants Manny to make her a pinata. However, Manny is too distracted spending time with classmate-supervillain Zoe Aves, or Black Cuervo, whom he's developed a crush on.

2b. Fistful of Collars: Manny and Frida want to buy fancy, new Luxe Scooters, so they decide to get money by stealing pets and giving them back to their owners when the "missing" posters roll out.

3a. Fool’s Goal: When Rodolfo is unable to coach for Manny's soccer team against the evil zombie General Chapuza, Grandpapi steps in and encourages them to win by cheating every step of the way.

3b. El Tigre, El Jefe: Manny decides to try helping his classmates by giving them advice, but ends up becoming extremely bossy, which supervillain classmate Senor Siniestro plots to use against him.

4a. Zebra Donkey: Manny and Frida have to take care of the school's zebra donkey mascot. So when they accidentally kill it, they decide to revive it with the magic guitar of Miracle City's most dreaded evildoer — Sartana of the Dead!

4b. Adios Amigos: Chief Suarez, Frida's father and head of the Miracle City police, forbids Manny and Frida from ever hanging out together again when Frida is harmed in an attack by Rodolfo's ex-sidekick, the Titanium Titan.

5a. The Mother of All Tigres: Manny's mother and Rodolfo's ex-wife, Maria, returns to Miracle City, where Manny hopes to convince her to stay by showing her that Miracle City isn't all that bad.

5b. Old Money: Manny and Frida are forced to do community service at a home for retired supervillains, and the elderly evildoers want the duo's help to get back their wealth stolen by Sartana of the Dead.

6a. The Late Manny Rivera: Vice Principal Chakal threatens to expel Manny and Frida if they are ever late again, putting the two in a mad rush for school that Senor Siniestro is eager to obstruct.

6b. Party Monsters: Manny and Frida overhear some geeks planning to throw a party (actually just a game night) and end up inviting every kid in school to the location, which is the hideout of the Mustache Mafia!

7a. The Mustache Kid: Manny decides to get a mustache to do adult stuff and turns to Dr. Chipotle Jr., who gives him a living one that Manny names Raul. The price? The belt that lets Manny become El Tigre.

7b. Puma Licito: Maria and Rodolfo fear that Grandpapi is a bad influence on Manny and are considering to move him out. To ensure he stays, Manny and Frida impersonate Grandpapi by using his Golden Sombrero of Chaos to do good.

8a. Miracle City Worker: Maria decides to deal with Miracle City crime by helping the villains change. Manny and Frida remain skeptical though and keep an eye on her subjects: El Oso, Dr. Chipotle Sr., and El Cucharo.

8b. Dia de los Malos: Manny is kicked out of the 200th Annual Celebration of Heroes for not being a full hero, but soon becomes the only hope when all the gathered heroes are trapped by the villains.

9a. Yellow Pantera: Manny believes his father is coward when he learns that Rodolfo ran away from a battle against the superhero-eating giant El Mal Verde and decides to take on the villain to restore the Riveras' honour.

9b. Rising Son: The superhero of Shogun City, Seventh Samurai (voiced by George Takei) comes to Miracle City to teach his overly polite son Toshiro how to be tough with Manny and Frida's help.

10a. The Curse of the Albino Burrito: Davi, a little boy who believes he is the superhero Albino Burrito, agrees to become Manny's apprentice to learn how to be a superhero (which is really Manny and Frida getting him to do their chores).

10b. La Tigressa: When she gets fed up with having no superpowers, Frida steals Manny's belt and becomes the superheroine La Tigressa, who quickly becomes Miracle City's most popular hero.

11a. Ballad of Frida Suarez: Frida writes a song about how El Tigre was defeated by Sartana of the Dead and it becomes a smash hit, to the chagrin of Manny and the delight of Sartana.

11b. Fool Speed Ahead: Manny, Frida, and Grandpapi participate in a street race against the other villains of Miracle City, in which the Riveras will be exiled from Miracle City forever if they lose.

12a. Miracle City Undercover: Raul the World's Greatest Mustache returns when Chief Suarez accuses him of a crime. In order to prove his innocence, Manny and Raul must infiltrate the Mustache Mafia.

12b. Bride of Puma Loco: Grandpapi falls in love with his longtime rival, Sartana of the Dead, to the horror of Manny and Frida, who become determined to break up the villainous couple.

13a. Eye Caramba: Black Cuervo's grandmami Lady Gobbler gives her glass eye to Manny after losing a bet with him. However, the eye is being used by the Aves' family to monitor White Pantera 's every move.

13b. Clash of the Titan: The Titanium Titan returns, claiming to be a reformed man who no longer wishes to destroy Manny to regain his friendship with Rodolfo, so the old duo reunites with Manny as the third member.

14. The Grave Escape: On El Dia de los Muertos, Sartana of the Dead attacks with an abomination made from Miracle City's forgotten ancestors while Manny and Frida end up in the Land of the Dead and encounter the Rivera ancestors.

15a. Burrito’s Little Helper: In order to get off clean from Vice Principal Chakal, Manny is forced to be the sidekick of the Albino Burrito, much to his frustration and humiliation.

15b. Crouching Tigre, Hidden Dragon: A Super Team called the League of Alliance Society comes to Miracle City and asks for Manny's help against their enemy, the Dragon Worm, who has come in search of a object that will make him invincible.

16a. The Cactus Kid: A young rookie villain named Cactus Kid arrives in Miracle City where Grandpapi decides to make him his apprentice as part of an Operation: Jealousy aimed at Manny.

16b. A Mother’s Glove: Manny finds out that Maria used to be the superheroine Plata Peligrosa when he finds her old superpowered glove. However, he soon learns why Maria locked the glove away so long ago.

17. The Good, the Bad, and the Tigre: Sartana of the Dead announces her retirement and invites every villain in Miracle City to fight for succession. The Riveras join as well, with Manny being helped by Sartana's grandson Django.

18a. A Fistful of Nickels: After accidentally letting the Riveras' parrot fly away, Manny decides to get money to make it up to Rodolfo by stealing from the vaults and treasuries of the villains.

18b. Animales: A Day in the Limelight episode with little dialogue, in which the Riveras' pet donkey and parrot try to get their squeaky toy back from Municipal President Rodriguez's pet goat and rooster.

19a. Tigre + Cuervo Forever: Manny pretends to date Black Cuervo, so he can get information on her family's evil schemes. Keeping this plan secret from Rodolfo and Black Cuervo might be a bit tricky though.

19b. The Thing that Ate Frida’s Brain: General Chapuza puts a brainsucking zombie on Frida's head that slowly turns her into a zombie, and the only way to cure her is to visit a magical fountain in zombie territory.

20a. Stinking Badges: In order to impress her father, Frida joins the Miracle City Junior Police Cadets and climbs her way to the top by taking credit for El Tigre's victories over the villains.

20b. Mech Daddy: Manny and Frida get trapped inside the head of their Humongous Mecha enemy Giant Robot Sanchez and discover that he is actually the loving father of two little robots.

21a. The Return of Plata Peligrosa: Maria takes on the identity of Plata Peligrosa again with some restraints on herself, causing Rodolfo to fall in love with her all over again.

21b. Chupacabros!: Manny adopts a baby chupacabra as a pet, but he soon finds that its appetite for goats is much too insatiable to be kept in check in goat-filled Miracle City.

22a. Love and War: Dr. Chipotle Jr. and Senor Siniestro reveal to each other that they both have crushes on Frida, causing a feud over who deserves her affections.

22b. Wrong and Dance: Manny needs someone to go to the school dance with (Frida reluctantly chose Senor Siniestro since they decided going with each other would be embarrassing) and decides to try impress a trio of bad girls.

23a. Oso Sole Mio: Manny and Frida go to the woods with El Oso to help him win the heart of the girl of his dreams, the Bear Princess. However, the other bears and their king aren't making this easy.

23b. Silver Wolf: Manny becomes extremely jealous when Frida starts hanging out with a teenage biker supervillain and bad boy chick magnet named Silver Wolf

24a. The Cuervo Project: Frida correctly believes that Zoe Aves is the secret identity of Black Cuervo and sets out with Manny to prove it when the three become science project partners.

24b. The Golden Eagle Twins: Rodolfo has Manny spend time with a pair of superheroes called the Golden Eagle Twins to learn how to be a hero. However, the twins are actually Villains With Good Publicity who take full advantage of their status.

25a. Dia de los Padres: Manny and Dr. Chipotle Jr. need to get their fathers something for Father's Day, so they team up to stage Rodolfo getting captured by the Chipotles so Manny can rescue him.

25b. Mustache Love: Raul the World's Greatest Mustache comes back once more to get Manny's assistance in impressing Browsia, the bushy unibrow of an incredibly obnoxious girl named Sofia.

26a. Back to Escuela: When the cursed Silver Scorpion of Sonora is put on display at Manny's school, Grandpapi joins his grandson there to try steal it under the guise of helping him at school.

26b. No Boots, no Belt, No Brero: A family counsellor decides the best way to get the Riveras closer is to confiscate Manny's belt, Rodolfo's shoes, and Grandpapi's sombrero. Then every villain in Miracle City breaks out in an all-out rampage!
