Fed up with Klump's repeated failures, King K.Rool fires his general, casting him out into the jungle. Feeling sorry for Klump, Dixie Kong decides to 'adopt' Klump and convinces the other Kong to let Klump stay with them. Unfortunately, Klump is just as incompetent at ape-life as he was at evil-doing!

- A Day in the Limelight: The first for Klump, and notably is one of the biggest roles Dixie plays in any episode of the series. Both of them even each get a song to themselves.

- Didn't Think This Through: K. Rool fires Klump for constantly screwing up. Unfortunately for him, that means The Dragon position goes to Krusha, who is substantially dumber than Klump and can't come up with anything resembling a plan.
- Hero with an F in Good: Klump's attempts to be a good neighbor for the Kongs do little to endear himself to them.
- Lampshade Hanging: After the Kongs activate the Trigger Barrels, K. Rool says they already know where this is going, so he, Krusha, and Klump just jump off the bridge on their own rather than get flung into the air by the trap.
- Non-Fatal Explosions: Klump seems more devastated over being fired than the exploding barrel that went off right in front of him. Later, Krusha also sets off exploding barrels as part of his training as K. Rool's new general and is fine. K. Rool doesn't seemed harmed despite standing almost right next to him.
