"Come on! Don't die on me yet!"

Ash: All roads to destroying this evil lead right back to where it all began — the cabin.

Ruby and Amanda arrive to El Brujo's hut and find the remains of the funeral pyre, but no traces of Ash. Amanda sees the Delta driving away, while Ruby enters the house, but only finds a goat. A demon enters Brujo's charred remains and tries to attack Amanda, but Ruby saves her by impaling the skeleton with a scythe. The Deadite calls her a double-crosser and manages to drag her into the pyre which explodes in flames. Amanda decides not to waste any time and takes Ruby's car to chase after Ash, but notices that the severed hand has disappeared.

At a diner, Ash is getting used to his new hand, greedily consuming pancakes. He tells Pablo and Kelly that their destination is the cabin where he's been 30 years ago, and they agree to come with him, but he tells them he has to go there alone and that they should leave unless they want to die, but the young people still insist they should be there with him. An acquaintance of Ash's, Lem, approaches the table and asks him for a favor to get some supplies for his new friends in local militia, but he says that he's no longer working at ValueStop, but would love to come see their camp.

Pablo and Kelly have a talk, where the former says that Eligos was trying to sleep with him in her body and that he doesn't know what to think of it. He asks if there was at least a part of Kelly that wanted it, but Ash interrupts them and says they need to get guns from Lem's friends and that Pablo should add more gas to the chainsaw's tank. Ash doesn't have any money to pay for their food, so he tells the other two to wait for him in the car and decides to dash. Amanda, who was watching him all the time, calls her superior, Lieutenant Boyle, to ask for reinforcements, and he agrees to come for the arrest.

Pablo awkwardly explains what happened to Kelly when she was possessed, but she says that it was wrong and she has no romantic feelings towards him, much to Pablo's frustration. His medallion reacts to something, and thinks that it's the Necronomicon. As they open the trunk, the book is attracted to Pablo who struggles to keep it away and manages to push it off. He and Kelly start thinking of ways to destroy it, but Pablo theorizes Kelly wants more Deadites to come after them so that she'd kill them.

At the diner, Ash tries to seduce the waitress to skip out on his check, but unfortunately for him, her husband is the cook. He still offers her to meet up in the men's room and goes there to prepare, while Amanda decides to go in and corners him. They fight for her gun, but she wins and arrests him. Boyle arrives and recognizes Ash from the sketch. Suddenly, the dark forces close in on the diner, and Ash tells the cops he's the only one who knows how to fight those things. Several people are killed by a spirit, and Lem runs away. Boyle becomes a Deadite and attacks Ash before killing a teenager by chopping him with a ceiling fan and switching to Amanda. The waitress who has always become possessed attacks Ash, but he uses a screwdriver in his new hand to kill her and then tries to kill Boyle. Pablo and Kelly arrive with Ash's weapons and toss them to him, and he makes quick work of the Deadite, while Kelly kills the waitress with a meat slicer and a hammer.

Lem runs into a forest where he calls his militia leader Crosby and tries to tell him what happened at the diner before the demon finds him and enters his body. The Ghost Beaters leave the diner, while Ash explains to Amanda the way his life has been for the last few days and offers her to come with them to fight the darkness.

Tropes:

  • The Alcoholic: Apparently, being clean and sober for nine days is a personal achievement for Lem.
  • Blood Knight: Kelly shows her violent side while bashing a Deadite's brains in, much to Ash and Pablo's worry.
Kelly: Oh, yeah! You're gonna fuck with me and my friends?! (Strikes the Deadite with a meat hammer while Ash and Pablo watch) Come after my family, you fuck?! Oh, I'm just gettin' started! I'm just warming! The! Fuck! Up! Fuck! Yes!
Ash: I think she needed that.
    Kelly: You just got 86'd!
    Pablo: Yep.
  • Casanova Wannabe: Ash tries to work his charm on a waitress to avoid paying for food, but he fails because her husband also works at the diner.
  • Dem Bones: The demon posssessed El Brujo's burned skeleton.
  • Evil Has a Bad Sense of Humor: After killing a teenaged boy with a ceiling fan, Deadite Boyle gives a Pun that makes even Ash cringe.
Deadite Boyle: A new member of my fan club.
  • Foreign Cuss Word: Deadite Brujo greets Amanda with "Hola, perra!" ("Hello, bitch!").
  • Foreshadowing: Ash asks Pablo to add more fuel to the tank, but he doesn't do so, leading to an unfortunate situation a couple of episodes later.
  • Groin Attack: Amanda knees Ash in the groin during the bathroom fight and later punches Deadite Boyle in the jewels.
  • Gutted Like a Fish: Ash uses the chainsaw to eviscerate Deadite Boyle before blowing his head off.
  • Pain Mistaken for Sex: The teenager who happens to be in a bathroom stall just when Ash and Amanda are fighting mistakes their actions for rough sex.
  • Pre-Mortem One-Liner: Ash gives one to the Deadite waitress while stabbing her with a screwdriver hidden in his hand.
    Ash: Here's your tip.
  • Revenge Before Reason: Pablo advises Kelly from letting revenge take over her completely.
Pablo: My uncle, he always said, "Pablito. Beware anger, fear revenge. If once you start down that path, forever it will dominate your destiny. Consume you, it will".
Kelly: Did you just Yoda quote me?
    Pablo: Yeah.
  • Right-Wing Militia Fanatic: Lem's group is a bunch of hillbilly gun-waving fools that require some more guns.
