Season 1, Episode 7:
Fire in the Hole
- Ash: Most people go through life, thinking they're totally safe. People like us, we know the truth. Life is hard and dangerous, and sometimes you just gotta chop off somebody's head to survive.
The Ghost Beaters, now joined by Amanda, head into the forest where the militia cabin is located, where they talk about the dangers they will face at the cabin. They encounter a woman torn in half and a barely alive man who tells them that "he" came and razed most of the camp, but then Crosby and his boys appear and shoot him in the head. He leads them inside and starts questioning them, and when Ash mentions Lem, the militia become agitated, as he's the one who turned Deadite and started killing people. One of the preppers recognizes that Amanda is a cop, and Crosby becomes paranoid about them being connected to the government. As one of the men comes to check what's outside, Lem drags him into a bunker. Amanda tells the others to quickly leave, but Crosby stops them and tosses her and Ash into the bunker, while Pablo and Kelly manage to hide. While they're stuck inside, Ash tries to hit on Amanda, but she's having none of it, but still apologizes to him for assuming he's responisible for all this and tells him about Ruby. Meanwhile, at El Brujo's property Ruby rises from the ashes.
Crosby's men look for Pablo and Kelly, while Deadite Lem shows up to Ash and Amanda, attempting to douse them in kerosene and set them on fire. Pablo and Kelly get the drop on one of the militia member to get his gun, but get caught by another one. Ruby gets her car back and notices that Ash's right hand is gone. The militia members refuse to listen to Pablo's words that the government has nothing to do with what's going on, but another Deadite attacks and kill them. Pablo rams him against a tree, and he and Kelly finally get the guns, and he tries to disguise himself as one of the fanatics, and as he tries to pull the gas mask off of the Deadite, he attacks, forcing Kelly to riddle him with bullets. After that, a disguised Pablo drives up to Crosby and keeps him on gun point along with Kelly.
In the bunker, Ash gets the idea to blowing it up with propane, and Amanda tries to attract Lem. He finds them and douses himself in kerosene, lighting up a flare. Ash gets into a bucket of water, and Amanda stabs Lem through the mouth with a pickaxe. They become attracted to each other after an adrenaline-fueled fight and almost kiss, but Pablo and Kelly interrupt the moment. The four take their pick of the guns, while another Deadite shows up only to become an easy target.
Just before the group leaves the camp, Ash admits that they have all grown on him and that they should keep themselves alive for as long as possible. They walk on ahead with him and turn around only to discover that Ash has disappeared. At the same time, his right hand has come to the Knowby cabin.

- Almost Kiss: Amanda and Ash were about to kiss in the bunker before Pablo and Kelly got in to save them.
- Booze Flamethrower: Deadite Lem uses a diesel fuel variation against Ash and Amanda.
- Car Fu: Pablo rams a Deadite against a tree with an armored pickup truck.
- Crazy Survivalist: Crosby's group have made their hideout in the forest, believing that the government will come for them.
- Entertainingly Wrong: Crosby's group all think that Lem was infected with an airborne virus bred by the US government. When they find out that Amanda's a cop, they all think that the Ghost Beaters are government agents that that they were there to observe their "experiment."
- Fanservice: Naked Lucy Lawless, everyone...
- Fan Disservice: ...while covered in ashes and soot.
- Kill It with Fire: Kelly initially expresses a desire to have a flamethrower to fight the Deadites.
- Made of Iron: The gas mask Deadite takes an ungodly amount of shots from Kelly's assault rifle before expiring.
- Powerful Pick: Amanda uses a pickaxe to stab Deadite Lem through the mouth.
- Revolvers Are Just Better: After an accident with a grenade launcher, Pablo decides that a revolver may be a better choice.
- Right-Wing Militia Fanatic: Crosby's group is a bunch of people who hide out in the forest, armed to the teeth, and he believes that Lem's rampage was caused by some sort of virus released by the government.
