After bringing aboard a dying Perseid, Harper inexplicably becomes hyper-intelligent thanks to a massive library database. This draws the attention of a bounty hunter, who will stop at nothing to get what the Perseid tried to save.

- Omniglot: Harper goes in and out of numerous human and alien languages effortlessly, speaking everything from Gaelic, French, Spanish, and German to Perseid and Vedran. He even says something insulting in Magog, that causes Rev Bem to nearly kill him.
