After Roger and Francine are mugged while out shopping one day, Roger ends up feeling utterly helpless and emasculated. To fix this Roger decides to become a cop, and joins the police academy to do so. After much training, he graduates and is made a cop for real. However, then he makes friends with Chaz Migliaccio.
Meanwhile, Hayley and Reginald the Koala sort out their feelings with a double date.
Cops And Roger contains examples of:
- Batter Up!: When Roger demands to take a cut of what comes through a dock, he beats the men making the deal with a baseball bat.
- Bound and Gagged: Stan after Chaz captures him.
- Dirty Cop: Chaz. Roger becomes one as well thanks to Chaz's influence.
- Distressed Dude: After Chaz finds out that Stan plans on outing Roger as a dirty cop he captures Stan and orders Roger to kill Stan.
- Double Date: Hayley and Reginald go on one with Rhonda (whom Reginald's dating) and Iain (whom Hayley's dating).
- Groin Attack: At the dock, Roger starts his intimidation of the men making a deal by kicking one of them in the crotch.
- Head Crushing: Roger kills Chaz by elbow dropping onto his head from the top of a rope, crushing it and killing him.
- Overly Long Gag: Roger crushing Chaz's head is in super slow motion, from multiple angles, in very graphic detail.
- Roundhouse Kick: Roger delivers one to his mugger when he's let into the interrogation room.
- Rule of Three: When Roger is training with Stan, he torments the same two little boys three times. First by intentionally ruining their sandcastle, then shooting their remote control plane down, then unknowingly causing them to get hurt in a car crash he causes running through the streets.
