Princess Bubblegum is concerned over her mortality and reveals her newly-designated successor to Finn and Jake. Their attempts to train Goliad, however, go horribly awry.

"Goliad" contains examples of:

When Goliad imitates him and turns Drill Sergeant Nasty when Finn tells her to lead the kids over an assault course, Finn tells her that she needs to stay calm and use her brain to lead the kids, which she unfortunately interprets as "mind control".
Goliad: Alright, listen up! You kids better stop dunking around and get on that ramp! You're gonna mess up Goliad! I'm Don Juan Cherry Temp— Cherry Tempo! It's my way or the highway, Glob-globbit!
  • Parental Bonus: When Princess Bubblegum tries to use the relationship between a bee and a flower as an analogy for the symbiotic relationship between a true leader and her people, the bee's close-up movements in the flower are somewhat suggestive.
  • Psychic Static: Finn tries to do this to keep Goliad from finding out about Bubblegum's plan to stop her, thinking about some rather odd things (like Princess Bubblegum's head turning into a dolphin and exploding).
  • Sealed Evil in a Duel: Goliad is stopped when her newly created brother Stormo locks himself into a psychic duel with her.
  • The Social Darwinist: Goliad eventually comes to develop this mindset after being trained to be leader material like PB wanted, resulting in her Wham Line.
Goliad: Bee is stronger than flower. Goliad is stronger than bee. Goliad is stronger than all.
  • Third Eye: Both sphinxes open them to use their psychic powers.
  • Visual Pun: Stormo, created from Finn's DNA, has a beak. This is because it is a griffinn.
  • With Great Power Comes Great Insanity: Goliad's overwhelming psychic powers are part of the reason she becomes convinced might makes right.
