• Basic Trope: A character shoots an object (usually an apple) off a person's head with a bow and arrow.
• Straight: Robyn shoots an apple off of Bob's head.
• Exaggerated: Robyn shoots a walnut off of Bob's head. Without even touching his hair.
  • Robyn shoots a walnut off of Bob's bald head. Without harming him.
• Downplayed: Robyn shoots a pear off of Bob's head.
• Justifid: Robyn has Improbable Aiming Skills and likes to show them off.
• Inverted:
  • Robyn shoots Bob in the foot with a bow and arrow.
  • Bob had an arrow balanced on his head, and Robyn knocks it off with an apple fired out of a slingshot.
• Subverted: Robyn tries to do this, but Bob is so visibly nervous that it throws off his aim.
• Double Subverted: He still hits it, although Bob jumps in fright.
• Parodied: Robyn tries to shoot a giant pumpkin off of Bob's head. Bob is seen struggling to hold the pumpkin up while Robyn is cussing him out.

  • Due to Bob's nervousness, the apple keeps falling off.
  • Bob ducks in fright as Robyn fires, causing Robyn to miss.

• Played For Laughs: The apple is comically large. Bob is still amazed that Robyn managed to hit it.
• Played for Drama: Robyn's finger slips and he ends up shooting Bob in the neck. High-Pressure Blood spews out as Bob dies a very miserable death.
• Played for Horror: The arrow and apple are both poisonous. Meaning that when Robyn shoots the apple, it will also kill Bob thanks to the poison spewed out from the apple. Even if the arrow misses Bob, he would still inhale its poison, also killing him.
