Basic Trope: A store sells many wares, including some you wouldn't expect a store of that kind to carry.

  • Straight: Alice needs to buy deodorant, a flash drive, a jacket, and a loaf of bread for the weekend. Luckily for her, she finds all of that at TropeCo.
  • Exaggerated: Alice needs to buy deodorant, a flash drive, a jacket, a loaf of bread, a Laser Blade, plastic explosives, a grappling hook, and a spaceship for her weekend plans. She still finds all of that at TropeCo.
  • Downplayed:
    • Alice needs to buy deodorant and a loaf of bread for the weekend and finds both of those at TropeCo.
    • Alice scores the released just last week EyePhone 5 at a secondhand shop.
  • Justified:
    • The store was founded by someone who thought the people needed a place where you could buy everything because he couldn't.
    • The flash drive and jacket were this week's limited sale at the supermarket, while deodorant and bread are among its regulars.
    • Trope Co is just a comically huge hypermarket.
  • Inverted:
    • Alice just needs deodorant for the weekend which she gets at Deodorant World, which only sells deodorant.
    • Trope Co is willing to buy anything from Alice, even that broken lamp and the lint out of her pocket.
  • Subverted: Alice needs to buy several items at TropeCo, but discovers they don't carry deodorant or jackets.
  • Double Subverted: But a day later, before Alice enacts her weekend plans, TropeCo starts carrying deodorant and jackets.
  • Parodied: Alice browses around TropeCo and discovers they carry extremely rare cars (single-digit production numbers), battle tanks, the Magna Carta, commando units, and even time machines.
  • Zig Zagged: TropeCo's inventory changes constantly. Sometimes they carry items no other store would carry. Other times, they only carry things you'd expect a store like that to have. Sometimes, they don't even have things that a store like that normally sells.
  • Averted:
    • Alice never goes shopping for the weekend.
    • She goes to several different stores to find everything she needs.
  • Enforced: TropeCo sponsors the show or paid a lot for Product Placement.
  • Lampshaded: "I'm going to buy some things for the weekend. I can get the deodorant at TropeCo, the flash drive...oh, I can get that at TropeCo too. Come to think of it, I can get everything I need at TropeCo."
  • Invoked: Bob mentions to Alice that he needs something at the store and Alice remembers that TropeCo carries it. She then remembers that they carry everything she needs.
  • Exploited: Bob calls the house for Alice, but she leaves before he calls. Charlie tells him what she was going out to buy and Bob realizes that TropeCo carries all of it. He goes to the store to "accidentally" run into her there.
  • Defied: Bob asks Alice to get him something at the store, but deliberately asks for something TropeCo doesn't carry. Alice decides to go to other stores.
  • Discussed: "Going shopping, Alice? I don't know what you're looking for, but TropeCo probably carries everything you need."
  • Conversed: "Last weekend, I wasted a lot of time and gas travelling around town buying things at different stores. I wish there was a big store where you can buy everything you need in one trip."
  • Implied: Alice mentions what she needs to buy, then leaves. After Alice does her shopping, all of the items she bought are in bags from the same store.
  • Played For Laughs: As Alice is leaving for the store, Bob asks her to pick up some items he doesn't expect them to carry as a joke. When Alice returns with those items, Bob is gobsmacked.
  • Played for Horror: The store is a Surreal Horror Eldritch Location that sells things that shouldn't even exist, much less be sold in a store.
