Basic Trope: Defecating or urinating on something or somebody to show disrespect.

  • Straight: Alice makes a science project, but Bob pees on it.
  • Exaggerated:
  • Downplayed:
    • Bob was urinating in a bush as a result of a Potty Emergency but goes a bit on the project when Alice shows it to him.
    • Bob doesn't actually urinate/defecate on the project, but does make motions mimicking the act in some way, or say that he'd probably pee on the project if he could.
    • Bob burps/farts in the direction of the project.
    • Bob pours a urine sample from Charlie's science lab on Alice's project, ruining both of them at the same time.
    • Bob shows his contempt for Alice with a Spiteful Spit on her project.
  • Justified:
    • Bob is very crude.
    • Bob is a small child who hasn't been toilet-trained yet, or is an animal that doesn't understand that defecating/urinating on things is unacceptable.
    • Bob was already about to have a Potty Failure and didn’t want to soil himself.
    • Alice greatly offended Bob and he wishes to show his contempt in the most explicit manner possible.
  • Inverted:
    • Bob urinates and defecates to show approval.
    • Bob vomits or gives a Spiteful Spit on Alice's project.
    • Bob eats or drinks while around Alice's project, and/or tries to spill food/drink on it.
    • For some reason, Bob has the ability to absorb urine and feces back into his body to show contempt for something.
    • Bob experiences Potty Failure whenever someone shows disrespect for him.
    • The project somehow urinates on Bob.
    • Bob takes a bite out of Alice's project.
  • Subverted:
    • It appears Bob is urinating on the project, but it turns out to be only his water bottle leaking.
    • Bob is revealed to have only urinated on the project by accident.
    • Bob is about to urinate on the project but then changes his mind.
    • Although it appears Bob is urinating on the project to show disrespect, he's actually trying to show praise for it by marking it as his territory.
    • The science project is an Automated Urine Analysis Machine, Bob was merely demonstrating its use.
    • In Bob's culture, peeing on something is done to show approval.
  • Double Subverted:
    • Then, he defecates or urinates on Alice or her project.
    • He was lying.
    • That's not where you're supposed to pee into the AUAM.
    • Peeing on something is indeed how Bob's culture shows approval. However, the way Bob does it in a different manner that signifies an insult.
  • Parodied: Bob tries to insult Alice by pooping on her latest project: a pile of fertilizer, or a toilet.
  • Zig-Zagged:
    • Bob considers and decides against peeing on the project several times.
    • Bob pees on Alice's project, then says this.
Bob: Sorry, Alice, I didn't mean to pee on your project ... well, I did mean to but not because I don't like it ... because I don't like you ... just joking...
  • Averted: No characters poop or pee on things or people they dislike, or Nobody Poops.
  • Enforced: To have Bob Kick the Dog while throwing in some Toilet Humour.
  • Lampshaded:
    • "Did you just pee on it?!"
    • "I pissed on your project!"
  • Invoked: Alice says to Bob, "I hate that book! Go pee on it!"
  • Exploited:
    • Bob really needs to urinate, so doing it on something he doesn't like is an added bonus.
    • Unbeknownst to Bob, Alice's science project is urine-powered.
    • Alice takes a photo of Bob peeing on her project and blackmails him by threatening to upload photos of his Teeny Weenie online and/or have him arrested for vandalism.
    • Alice steals Bob’s pants and underwear when he takes them off to pee on the project.
  • Defied:
    • Bob goes out and says, "I may dislike your project but I wouldn't, like, pee on it or anything."
    • Bob starts to unzip his fly until Alice gives him a Death Glare that makes him stop.
    • "If you feel that showing how much you hate me is worth becoming a registered sex offender, then go ahead, dude, drop trou."
  • Discussed: "How come Bob pees on everything he dislikes? Is he even potty-trained?"
  • Conversed: "That character's such a meanie, peeing on Alice's science project!"
  • Implied:
    • Bob is seen peeing on the project but it's never revealed why.
    • It's mentioned that Bob once peed on Alice's project.
    • Bob walks offscreen in the project's direction. We don't see what he's doing, but the suspicious sound of a liquid hitting the ground can be heard.
  • Deconstructed:
    • Bob urinates on Alice's project as a public statement, but that only reflects on how crude he is.
    • Bob gets arrested and charged with public urination.
  • Reconstructed:
    • As long as Alice is hurt that her project is ruined, Bob doesn't care about his own reputation.
    • Bob takes the project to the bathroom, places it in the toilet, and proceeds to poop and pee on it.
  • Played for Laughs: Toilet Humor.
  • Played for Drama:
    • Alice worked hard on that project but now that Bob has urinated on it, it's useless, so she cries.
    • Alice gets sick after being urinated/defecated on.
    • Bob seriously thinks that the inevitable arrest, lawsuit and entry in the local sex offender registry for public urination is Worth It because he hates Alice that much. Or worse yet, he takes that hurdle on his life as Alice's fault and escalates his hatred to the point getting peed on would be the more acceptable resolution (yeah, it's that bad).
