Basic Trope: A gun-wielding character never needs to reload.

  • Straight: Bob the Gunslinger kills several dozens of Mooks with one gun without reloading it even once.
  • Exaggerated:
    • Bob fires a flintlock pistol several times in a row.
    • Bob fires an RPG several times. After this the rocket itself is still in place.
  • Downplayed:
    • Bob's gun holds far more bullets than size of its magazine would imply.
    • Bob does have limited ammo, but he has no need for reloading and can fire as much as he likes as long as he has some ammunition, without ever replacing his magazine.
    • Bob does reload, but he never runs out of magazines.
  • Justified:
    • The gun is an Energy Weapon, it can fire as long as it's charged, no bullets required.
    • The gun doesn't use ammo by design. Instead it directly drains enemy's Life Energy.
    • The gun has a device that teleports bullets into its magazine.
    • The world is a simulation, and thus Bob's guns are designed to somehow do damage to others in the simulation, but otherwise break all rules since they aren't real.
  • Inverted:
    • Bob has a belt-fed machine gun. Then he says that he ran out of ammo (after a single shot no less), even though there's still a part of the ammunition belt hanging out of the gun.
    • Somehow, Bob's sword has limited ammunition.
  • Subverted: Bob shoots several people, and then changes magazine of his gun.
  • Double Subverted: He only changed ammo type. After he liquidates the target, he promptly changes magazines back and continues shooting.
  • Parodied: Bob the Showy Invincible Hero gives his gun to someone else. Since magazine with incredibly large amount of bullets would be incredibly heavy, the guy drops it to the floor immediately.
  • Zig Zagged: Bob lists several dozens of various situations and circumstances, when he needs to reload, and when he doesn't.
  • Averted: Guns hold believable amount of ammo.
  • Enforced: "Our action flick has too much shooting! If we make our guns hold a realistic amount of ammo, there would be fourty five minutes of nothing but reload!"
  • Lampshaded: "I never saw Bob reloading. Is he a wizard, or something?"
  • Invoked: Bob specifically asks his support team to make magazines of his guns hold more bullets, because he always wastes them all in seconds.
  • Exploited: An enemy starts Counting Bullets against revolver-wielding Bob. After Bob made six shots, the bad guy, sure that he's in no danger, leaves cover, and Bob shoots him.
  • Defied: The Big Bad orders his troops to hunt down all gunsmiths and wizards who are able to make infinite magazines.
  • Deconstructed: After existence of infinite magazines becomes known to general public, most gun shops and ammo producers go out of business, because most of their income used to come from ammo, and good guns become hard to find.
  • Reconstructed: Constant shooting makes guns break down faster, and gun shops are able to compensate most of their losses, while ammo producers switch to other military equipment, like grenades.
