Basic Trope: A character runs non-stop through their to-do list... which does not include mundane tasks like eating, drinking, using the toilet, changing clothes, etc.
- Straight: Bob kills a bunch of Mooks, saves the princess, and defeats the Big Bad without taking a break.
- Exaggerated: It takes him a month to finish the above tasks.
- Downplayed: Bob occasionally performs mundane tasks, but only when it's relevant to the plot. (For instance, after changing clothes, his new outfit causes someone to mistake him for a look-alike.)
- Justified:
- The amount of time it takes for Bob to complete his quests is relatively short (an hour or less).
- Bladder of Steel
- Bob actually has Bizarre Alien Biology or is a Ridiculously Human Robot and doesn't need to eat, sleep, groom himself, or anything of that nature.
- Inverted:
- Bob's to-do list is use the toilet, shower, change clothes, have lunch, etc.
- Bob is capable of urination without a drop of fluid in his body.
- Subverted:
- Bob decides to take a bathroom break after rescuing Princess Alice.
- Bob's IVA suitnote has a built-in toilet.
- Double Subverted:
- But then decides it wouldn't be proper to pee in front of a lady and decides to hold it.
- But it can't store that much.
- Parodied:
- Bob stores his unneeded belongings in his kitchen and bathroom, since he rarely uses either of those rooms.
- Whenever Bob considers that he may need a bathroom break, he frequently procrastinates every chance he has to relieve himself.
- Zig-Zagged: Bob can go days without eating or going to the bathroom, but then he has to eat and go to the bathroom for days on end.
- Averted:
- Bob takes breaks on his quest.
- The quest is a very short quest; there shouldn't be any need to take a break in the middle.
- Enforced: The Law of Conservation of Detail
- Lampshaded: "Shouldn't we take a break?"
- Invoked: The player behind Bob is playing for hours.
- Exploited: Alice, knowing that Bob doesn't use the bathroom, utilizes Toilet Teleportation to break into his home.
- Defied: See Averted.
- Discussed: ???
- Conversed: ???
- Implied: A time-lapse of several different things is happening. Bob is carrying out his to-do list items, and Alice is watching Bob's bathroom and kitchen. The time is shown and Bob never visits these places.
- Deconstructed: Bob suffers from a rare condition in which he simply does not feel hunger, thirst, or urges to use the bathroom.
- Reconstructed: His body has adapted to this condition, so even after it's cured, he still doesn't need to do those things very often.
- Played for Laughs: Bob doesn't realize he'd never stopped to for a bathroom break ... until Alice points it out, and suddenly finds he has an all-consuming urge to pee and precious few bathrooms to go in.
Go back to Bottomless Bladder and geez, have you gone to the bathroom lately?
