    Prologue
  • The Homestuck Epilogues open with a legitimately disturbing recap of the events of Act 7, specifically the destruction of the Green Sun. The description of reality being utterly ripped apart by the supermassive black hole is so utterly visceral as to be utterly chilling.

    Candy
  • Gamzee's "redemption" arc shows him become a creepily sexist preacher, which only John finds unnerving for some reason.
    • (Vriska) kissing Gamzee is funny at first until you realize that Gamzee’s classpect, his chucklevoodoos, and the concussion Dirk gave her might’ve made her sudden just less genuine than it first seems.
  • Dirk's suicide and what leads up to it. The first scene with him in Candy is him suddenly being aware that he is in an "inconsequential" timeline, and he gives Jane an ominous message to "cancel everything." Later, Dave goes in to Dirk's studio and Gamzee sneaks up on him, rambling more about "redemption." The next page describes Dirk decapitating himself with a noose, right in the middle of a town, noting how bystanders would find the dead body of one of the celebrities who made their new world. His death is also described in fairly graphic detail, from the way his spine breaks to his blood being pumped out of his body. All of this is quite jarring compared to most of Candy in general, the "lighter" of the two Epilogues (Jane's tyranny and abuse nonwithstanding).

    Meat

  • If you were dissatisfied about how the plot thread involving Lord English ended, don't worry! We get treated to an actual final battle with him going up against the four pre-Scratch heroes! It's not pretty. Left and right, people are vaporized by Lord English's lasers, gorily impaled, thrown into the black hole, or in poor Dave's case, gets his fucking head bitten off! John is one of the few to get out alive, but certainly not intact...
  • Dirk's complete narrative overhaul and subtle manipulations turns what seemed like a wrap up of plot threads into his own plaything.
