Nightmare Fuel / Star Trek Continues

• In "Pilgrim of Eternity", Apollo and his fellow Greek Gods and Goddesses were trapped inside an entity known as the "Realm" which drains them of their lifeforce.
• The Espers in "To Boldly Go". Elevated by unique means, they now believe they are the next step in evolution and are seeking to get through the Great Barrier to be "elevated" to a new level. It turns out they caused an entire starship to die by using their powers to shut down their life support.
  Kirk: Why?
  Esper: To see if we could.
  • The Esper, Lana, later escapes and uses her powers to force one security guard to vaporize the other then turn the phaser on himself. The man is fully aware of what he is doing and helpless to prevent himself from committing murder/suicide.
• In “Divided We Stand”, Kirk and Bones are transported back in time during the American Civil War of 1861. During one of the battles, Kirk’s leg is injured and Bones informs him that he has to amputate his captain’s leg in order to save him. Since there is no sedative, Kirk has to be awake and experience every moment of pain as Bones performs the operation.
