- Even though The Mandela Magazine is significantly less frightening than its source materials, there are a few moments of genuine creepiness.
- The segment where the picture of Ceasar's face distorts before his his face disappears leaving only eyes. Nothing new, since the same scare is in the original. But then a stretched version of his grinning face appears around the eyes, to the sound of a far more frightening 'eeee'.
- When Cesar's alternate is outside Mark's door, he tries to get Mark to come out by offering a 'surprise' in a slightly glitched voice. Then he starts banging on the door screaming for Mark to come out.Cesar's Alternate: It's me Ma-a-a-rk. I have a gift for youyouyou. I have a surpri-i-ise. Let me in Mark. (Cesar's alternate bangs on the door) OPEN THE DO-O-OR, MA-A-ARK!! I-I-I HAVE A PRESEA-A-ANT!! I HAVE A—!
