His own personal Drowning Pit.
  • Seth Baxter's death. Even though he was able to crush his hands in the trap, the trap was inescapable to begin with and you can imagine the horror of realizing that the pendulum is still lowering. The sight of him being methodically sliced in two as his guts spill out all over the room and sounds of his agonized screaming are ghastly. Granted, of all of the franchise's victims, he's one of the most deserving, but still...
  • The Water Cube. Imagine waking up with your head inside a glass cube that slowly fills up with water. Also, the trap is inescapable, unless you have something sharp enough (such as a pen, like Strahm did) and knowledge of how to perform a tracheotomy on yourself.
    • While Saw V is normally seen as one of the worst Saw movies, the Water Cube is often considered to be one of the scariest, if not the scariest trap in the whole franchise. The absence of gore in the trap plays a big part in that, but drowning is also one of the most common human fears. The fact Strahm is an investigator and would HAVE to have had a pen on him adds another level of horror to the trap; most other human beings would have perished under even the best circumstances.
  • The last of the Fatal Five's traps can be a bit difficult to watch for anyone who particularly values their hands, especially due to how gratuitous it is with repeated cuts to the two last victims as they force themselves to shove their hands further onto sawblades, gradually slicing their arms in half the long way - on top of that, in an effort to shed five pints of blood each and hope they survive.
  • Strahm's death in the end, widely considered one of the most gruesome ways a Saw character has ever gone out. After doing what he believed to be the correct thing by sealing Hoffman in the box, the walls around him begin closing in, and despite his best efforts, there's nothing he can do about it. He even tries to stop them with his arms, which gives us a lovely close-up of his left arm snapping like a matchstick, and in the end can only cry out in excruciating pain as his entire body is slowly crushed. The entire event is so gruesome, even Hoffman had to look away in the end.
    • The worst part of it all is that he could have easily gotten out had he listened to the full tape.
