Quite an unpleasant view to see before almost being beheaded.
  • Donald is almost beheaded at the guillotine after learning Pete's true plan. No wonder why after he escaped from death at the last second, he decided to warn his friends and quit being a musketeer when the duck learns that they kidnapped Goofy and Mickey decides to still protect Minnie regardless of Pete antagonizing her.
    • Before Pete activates the guillotine, Donald notices that Pete and his goons already bought their tombstones, pictured above with their skulls carved at the top of them.
  • When Goofy is kidnapped by Clarabelle, her shadow looks practically demonic before it envelopes the entire area in darkness. Almost instantly, Goofy realizes that he's screwed and there's nothing he can do about it.
  • After Donald abandons Mickey, Pete emerges from the shadows to confront Mickey with an Evil Laugh. The disparity in size and strength between the two is greatly emphasized as the looming Pete engages in some Evil Gloating and knocks Mickey out with a single punch before he can unsheathe his sword.
  • A minor one, but during Goofy and Clarabelle's love song, a very conflicted Clarabelle (who's a villain in this special) has a chorus of imaginary hooded cows ominously floating around her and telling her not to fall in love with Goofy because they're supposed to be enemies. One of their lyrics is "You have to kill him or he'll change your mind!" In other words, Clarabelle's conscience was basically telling her to straight up murder Goofy. Fortunately, Goofy's song and Clarabelle's High-Heel–Face Turn change their tune as well.
  • The Mont St. Michelle is a terrifying place in this movie. Especially when the lightning hits over it. It looks like it gained a demon’s face.
  • The Drowning Pit sequence. Mickey struggles to swim upwards even though he's chained up, noticeably exhaling when he can't hold his breath, and finally fainting. The air bubbles that escape from his mouth even form his famous head silhouette. Also counts as Mood Whiplash with the sign gag: "You must be THIS TALL to survive the dungeon."
    • Although the sign gag is Played for Laughs, Mickey's face when he sees this basically says "That's it, I am going to die."
