Nightmare Fuel / Max0r

• The infamous conclusion to Mission 12 of Ace Combat Zero is played completely straight then made even worse by Max0r's surprisingly chilling performance as Pixy cementing his Face–Heel Turn.
  Pixy: I've finally found my reason to fight... And it doesn't involve you anymore, Cipher. (Evil Laugh)
  • The bombing of Hoffnung is played completely straight, with Max0r grimly narrating how exactly you help destroy the city and its defenders as the background music slowly changes to Burgundian Lullaby.
    "Enemy jets scramble hopelessly to try to defend their friends and family, and you take them out. You hear the sounds of screaming and air sirens, and just like every other target before them, you take them out. You take them all out, burning everything until there is only silence. Is this worth it? How many points did you get?"
• In another case of He Really Can Act, Max0r's voicing of the Council punishing Gabriel for his failure in ULTRAKILL is very, very unnerving. It's made all the more horrifying by Gabriel's agonized scream afterward, as he is stripped of his divine light. What's worse, Gabriel's pain and screaming is canon.
  The Council: And then, you will die. A husk. A thing.
  • Gabriel's return to the council and subsequent massacre is portrayed in a far less calm light than the original version, with Gabriel himself in a terrifying state of Laughing Mad that continues as he decapitates the last councilor and presents his severed head to all of Heaven. Unlike in canon, where Gabriel's slaughter of the council was shown as being done for the sake of liberating the citizens of Heaven from their dogmatic rule, here there's little indication of motive beyond sheer insanity. Even more chilling is that choice pieces of the dialogue used are straight from the actual game, the difference that as opposed to unvoiced text it's voiced with himself as the councilor and obviously Gianni having reprised his role as Gabriel... and when Gabriel speaks about his faith and God being dead Gianni portrays him as eerily calm, if a bit resigned, as he speaks. Doubly horrifying considering he's willingly and knowingly signing his own death warrant.
• Wes and her portrayal of V2 are a more self-contained case, characterizing V2 as a boisterous show-off that gets terrifyingly angry when someone actually matches him and bruises his ego.
  V2: YOU'RE JUST A FUCKING NIKON!
• Her performance of V2 in Act 2 is even more horrifying. V2 barely bothers with comedy, starting off furious and working his way up to shrieking in fury.
  V2: What's the matter, Brother? Does your arm hurt?! BECAUSE I CAN FIX THAT!!!
• There's also her performance in the Resident Evil 4 Remake video. Initially Mendez is portrayed by Wes as a jolly Mormon (or as Mendez puts it, latter day saint), but towards the end he ends up LOSING IT, with the earliest hint of it being when he tells Leon to "stop struggling" directly after calling him a kidder. Then once the bridge breaks, Mendez says under his breath that God is testing him, in a tone that highly suggests some Tranquil Fury behind his words. And then there's the barn, where Mendez has truly lost his mind.
  Father Mendez: I have had it up to here asking for your baptism! As soon as you are saved, Ashley, I am going to teach you exactly WHY God wants you to SHUT-(gets shot at by Leon)... I let you stay in MY sex dungeon, gave you MY dog, vaccinated you, and even let this salted harlot stay in MY church. So, Leon, forgive me if I think just a little bit of penance is fucking due! (Leon kicks an explosive barrel towards Mendez) ARE YOU EVEN LISTENING TO ME?!
• Following the breakdown, Leon shot the barrel that he kicked towards Mendez, causing it to explode, but much like the previous times he was attacked, Mendez is not bothered by it in the slightest, letting loose an Evil Laugh as he walks out of the fire, now in his One-Winged Angel form and demanding Leon's baptism. As Max0r puts it, this fight is basically Hell.
• Rykard, despite being voiced with a Chills impression, still manages to sound just a bit unnerving as he describes his intentions To the Pain.
  Rykard: The last thing you want on your journey to hell is to join the Serpent King as family, but as it turns out, that might be what you get.
• Other than a brief joke about a spider on his hand, Maliketh's boss intro is played dead serious as he gives a chilling monologue before dropping the pretenses and making it clear he's a complete Blood Knight.
  Maliketh: If Destined Death... is truly thy longing... then, claim it. (roars before slamming his sword down and slowly turning his head) I'm going to fucking skin you alive.
