Nightmare Fuel / Lacey Games

Go To

While at first they appear to be ordinary videos of a cute kids' game, all of the Lacey Games videos are horrifying.

  • Lacey's Wardrobe starts out as an average 2000's dress up game, but if you look at the woods while Lacey is at the picnic, you can see a man watching her.
    • The second dress up segment gets interrupted by Lacey's phone ringing and her "date" leaving her a very creepy message. We then get a close up of Lacey's face distorting while the music glitches, after which the man from the woods appears at her window and watches her get dressed. Somehow, she manages to make it to the mall, and the game proceeds as normal, but not before Lacey herself begs the player for help.
      please help
      he's going to kill me
    • The third dress up segment no longer has the cheery background music from the first two, instead having ominous ambiance and the sound of someone knocking on the door play while Lacey gets dressed to go on her date. In addition, one of tops is replaced with text that says "there is a gift on your doorstep". The "gift" is actually human organs. The stalker then leaves another phone call, this time demanding for Lacey to come outside. Lacey again begs the player to not make her go outside. The player clicks the "ready" button anyway, and Lacey calls them out for this.
      what have you done
    • At the end of the video, the stalker succeeds in killing and eating Lacey. The fact that you can hear her screaming in pain doesn't help at all. We also get a look at the stalker's face. Dear lord, those eyes. The text that appears on screen makes it even worse.
      i ate her remains
so that we will be together
      forever
      i love you, lacey
  • Lacey's Diner also starts out fairly innocent, but if you let the timer run down to 10 seconds, the game becomes hyper-saturated red and the bottom of the screen tells you to hurry up. After doing a normal playthrough, Charlie decides to let the timer completely run out, resulting in a split-second screamer of a bloody Lacey in a dirty kitchen with cut arms.
    • The second day, Charlie again lets the timer run out, but this time, at 5 seconds, Lacey completely disappears, and at the end of the countdown, a hyper-realistic version of Lacey appears. Afterwards, the usual "you ran out of time" screen starts to play, but Lacey interrupts it and delves into a rant about her customers which eventually results in her deciding to enact revenge on them.
why can't these fucking bastards just wait 3 minutes for their fucking food?
i am trying my hardest and yet I'm almost running out of money to survive
this isn't fair. it isn't fair at all. it isn't fair.
i hate all of them. i hate them. i hate them.
tomorrow I'm going to give them something to eat alright. THEY'LL FACE WHAT THEY DID TO ME.
    • Lacey's "meal" on the third day is made out of things no one would ever want to eat, such as cockroaches, used condoms, meth, and human flesh. We then get a disgusting montage of her serving food to the customers, but this time they're hyper-realistic with distorted faces. After this, Lacey's diner is closed, and she kills herself in an alleyway.
  • Lacey's Petshop takes it a step further, the concept being she has to sell what are basically custom pets to clients. The clients' demands slowly get more and more deranged, such as using a pair of pliers to 'elongate' a hamster's neck or cutting the ears, legs, and tail off of a bunny because they are "distracting".
    • It then goes into a creepy point and click where you visit Lacey's house and see such loving imagery as realistic looking pigmen eating flowers (which is implied to be how Lacey saw her uncle or family), the room where her uncle would put her in a cage, whatever the hell is going on on the bathroom, her room where some decaying thing (implied to be the corpse of her uncle) crawls from under her bed and approaches the player, until she immolates herself to escape from the nightmare. All of this accompanied by images of a dog both living and decayed.
    • The blink-and-you-miss-it walls of text tell of how Lacey in her abusive house found solace in a pet dog she had. Until one day her uncle, either intentionally or accidentally, killed it. This sent Lacey over the edge, leading to her killing her uncle and hiding his body underneath her bed. The interview clips of the game's co-creator also implies that all of this creepiness was done by the in-universe creator as some sort of outlet for their abusive upbringing.
  • "the disturbing rabbithole of laceygames.com," which features more interview clips with the co-creator Grace, has plenty of this as well.
    • "Jay's Skating Game" starts out as innocently as the other games, though weird glitches appear soon enough. Then, at the end of the game's last level, Jay falls into a large field of spikes, and the game cuts to a screen showing what appears to be a very blurry corpse, along with a large red box with some text saying "YOU KILLED JAY."
c: Jesus, that's so fucked up!

    • "Lacey's Makeup Parlour" also starts out quite innocently, with each customer coming up and having the player apply makeup to their faces. Then one of the customer's face sags, and another one has her eyes open, which look creepily realistic. It's soon revealed that Lacey isn't actually working at a parlour, but at a morgue, where one of her "customers" ends up being Jay. We get a close up of Jay's decaying corpse while Lacey shakily applies makeup to her face.
