Goddess of Victory: NIKKE has far more than just Fanservice - there's some big horrors and terrifying moments awaiting players...

As a Moments page, all spoilers are off.

  • The general state of the world - the Earth is has been destroyed by the Raptures, killing everyone on the surface and forcing the remaining humans to hide underground.
  • The Raptures themselves are a stuff of nightmares. They are a chaotic race of Starfish Robot that vary in appearance from quadrupedal, to small, to literal HumongousMecha-sized war trains, to Tentacled Terrors - some are even capable of flight, and all of them have bright red eyes. And they're capable of corrupting Nikke units, as Chatterbox reveals to Chime in Last Kingdom.
  • The final scene of White Memories' Omega Ending, a minigame that reveals more about Snow White and the Pilgrims during the OVER ZONE event, has a nightmarish breakdown from Snow White when she discovers that Lilith's grave was desecrated and her head stolen, complete with her thoughts being scrambled with static and Zalgo-like effects as she freaks out - Snow White is heavily implied to have undergone her Mind Switch at this revelation.
  • The past version of the 1st Invasion has The Memory Of Goddess minigame, with a special scene at the end that depicts Cinderella's conversion into the Heretic Anachiro via the corruption she was afflicted with - there's a creepy display of the conversion twisting her desires and thoughts to coerce her into serving the Rapture Queen.
  • The sheer level of power the Big Three wield verges full-on into Realism-Induced Horror, because they've got so much influence that they can order around almost anyone barring The Ark's top government brass and Special Commandoes - and they're so important that they almost always get away with it, even if 'it' is ruining someone's life.
    • While Tetra's Mustang and Elysion's Ingrid aren't so bad with their privileges, Missilis' Syuen shows full-force just how bad they could get. Her very first scene has her blackmailing the Counters Commander into hunting down a special Rapture for her with forged evidence that he's plotting a coup, with no choice for The Commander other than to go along with it - when the operation goes pear-shaped, Syuen just shifts the blame onto Rapi and Mihara instead, dooming them both to a Mind-Reformat Death as punishment. While Rapi escapes it thanks to having no NIMPH, poor Mihara isn't so lucky and comes out a whole different person, much to Yuni's anguish.
    • In Chapter 18, Syuen's Engineered Heroics puts the whole Ark in danger, and even when Mustang, Ingrid and Andersen all rip into her for it, she just blows them off and suffers zero consequences.
    • And when she's finally hauled in front of Enikk and officially sentenced for all her screw-ups, Syuen is so confident in Missilis' importance to The Ark, and hers by proxy, that she's got no problem mouthing off to Enikk and even trying to coerce her into a lighter sentence. The worst part? She's right - as Enikk admits later, she actually can't charge Syuen with anything because the effects on Missilis would be too catastrophic for The Ark to handle. Enikk has to resort to a Batman Gambit loophole to keep Syuen under control in lieu of levying an official punishment like she wants to.
  • During Last Kingdom, Chime realizes that their castle's secrets have been compromised, and despite knowing that she isn't suited for combat, she decides to go on a solo mission and infiltrate the territory of the Rapture army that has been harassing the Crown Kingdom for days. When she doesn't return, Crown starts to worry something might have happened to her - cue a metal box landing in the castle's courtyard. A T.A.L.O.S. scan confirms the box isn't dangerous, but T.A.L.O.S. suggests Crown shouldn't open it regardless. Crown ignores the warning, opening the box and discovering why... inside it is Chime's decapitated head. The impact is ever-so-slightly lessened by the fact that Chime and other Nikkes can survive decapitation temporarily, as long as their brain is intact.
