Other
- Denshi Sentai Denziman: After JAKQ and Battle Fever got experimental, this Five-Man Band returns to the color scheme of Goranger.
- Taiyou Sentai Sun Vulcan
- The experimental weapon that the Guardians of World Peace are working on in episode 44 is Battle Fever Robo, complete with the BF symbol on the chest.
- There are also a few elements brought back from Himitsu Sentai Gorenger, such as the secret entrance to the base being in a diner run by their commander, the yellow ranger liking curry, and the finishing move balls.
- Dai Sentai Goggle Five
- Done by Goggle Pink after hypnotizing a bunch of Mooks into dancing around to their fall. "Do you want another?"
- Their "Super Sentai" Stance is Goranger's second team pose.
- Choushinsei Flashman: The very name Chou[blank] [Blank]man, without Sentai in the middle, echoes Choudenshi Bioman, as well as reusing the Goranger colors for the Five-Man Band while sticking with Two Girls to a Team, and having the codenames use the color as a head word rather than the tail.
- Hikari Sentai Maskman: Yellow Mask's status as the team’s sole Ninja has been done before with DynaBlack from Kagaku Sentai Dynaman.
- Choujuu Sentai Liveman
- As well as reusing the Power Trio, complete with matching color scheme, from Sun Vulcan, Animal Motifs return with matching categories for the primary colors, that is birds for red, aquatic animals for blue, and big cats for yellow.
- Going all the way back to Goranger, the Blue Ranger goes The Straight and Arrow Path while Green wields Battle Boomerangs.
- Gosei Sentai Dairanger
- A little girl in Episode 3 dresses like Kazumi from Chikyuu Sentai Fiveman.
- Three of the rangers share the same colors and beast motifs with their counterparts from Dengeki Sentai Changeman: Change Dragon and Ryū Ranger (both are red) Change Pegasus and Tenma Ranger (blue), and Change Phoenix and Hōō Ranger (pink).
- Dairanger also has a martial arts theme similar to Hikari Sentai Maskman. The power source used by the Maskmen was actually "aura power", which is what kiryoku means in Japanese (more or less).
- The Gorma Shitennō would appear to be a homage to the Crime Shitennō from J.A.K.Q. Dengekitai vs. Goranger, both villainous quartets are composed of human-form villains who combine into one monster.
- Kazu's character seems to be based off Kyosuke Shida a.k.a. Battle France, who was also a dandy hairdresser.
- Ninja Sentai Kakuranger
- At one point Junior performs a ritual to Zashiki-Warashi evil, with the incantation "Daichi no akuryou tachi yo. Ikeru momo no subete no ikari to nikushimi wo atsume, kono zashiki-warashi ni aku no chikara wo atae yo"note This is very close to Bandora's Make My Monster Grow incantation in Kyōryū Sentai Zyuranger, "Daichi ni nemuru akuryou-tachi yo. (monster's name) ni chikara wo atae yo."note
- Also when the Flower Kunoichi Gang posed as a teacher, they taught the children songs that was taught in the first episode of Chikyuu Sentai Fiveman by Five Yellow/Remi Hoshikawa. The 'gag' part? One of the Flower Kunoichi Gang members is played by the actress of Remi (Keiko Hayase).
- Chouriki Sentai Ohranger
- The Chouriki Dynamite Attack is essentially an updated rendition of the Dynaman's (New) Super Dynamite move.
- The method of the other mecha combining with King Pyramider in Battle Formation (entering through the back into a large open area) is rather similar to how the Super Turbo Robo combined with the Turbo Builder.
- Denji Sentai Megaranger: The Digitank serves as one to the only tank in Sentai prior to it (not counting mecha components), the Jack Tank from J.A.K.Q. Dengekitai; just like the Digitank, it emerged from a flying vessel, was equipped with a large yellow claw (though the Jack Tank's claw had much more of a usable range to it) and a spinning cannon on top.
- Seijuu Sentai Gingaman
- Ginga Bitus is an homage to the old Super Sentai flying fortresses which carried the mecha—it's almost an updated version of the Jaguar Vulcan from Taiyou Sentai Sun Vulcan.
- Giga Phoenix's sound effects are the ones used by enlarged Space Beast Warriors.
- Many of the Barban generals are individually chosen to lead the charge until they die and get replaced, much like the higher-ranked Black Cross Army members in Himitsu Sentai Gorenger.
- Mirai Sentai Timeranger
- A dinosaur-based Sixth Ranger who dies after passing his henshin device and mecha to the Red Ranger. How haven't I seen this before?
- Also, his Zord is a T-Rex and his color is red (another Zyuranger reference).
- The Time Robo is a homage to Jet Icarus from Choujin Sentai Jetman, which also had a jet mode for its mecha.
- The similarities to Jetman don't end there. The Timerangers themselves are sort of an inversion of the Jetmen, with a Rookie Red Ranger and four more experienced time cops, whereas Red Hawk was the only Jetman with actual training. Gien also has some parallels to Tranza.
- G-Zord, anyone?
- Hyakujuu Sentai Gaoranger
- Gao Elephant's sound effects are the ones used by Zyu Mammoth.
- Gao Gorilla's sound effects are the ones used by Dragon Ceasar.
- Bakuryuu Sentai Abaranger
- The spamming of diamond motifs on the outfits is most certainly a callback to Zyuranger.
- Also like Zyuranger, Red is a Tyrannosaurus, Blue is a Triceratops, while the Action Girl is a Pteranodon, only yellow rather than pink this time. The official Sixth Ranger (technically fifth here) starts as evil, then Death Equals Redemption. There is also an immense Brachiosaurus which functions as a Carrier Mecha, only now he has his own Ranger and is not the Final Mecha.
- Asuka’s storyline with Jeanne/Mahoro mirrors that of Ryu’s storyline with Maria/Rie. It has a happier ending though.
- Tokusou Sentai Dekaranger
- The Igaroids and Batsuroids use weapons that are recolored Mirai Sentai Timeranger weapons.
- Also, the various Humongous Mecha are references to Rescue Sentai GoGoFive mecha: Dekarangerrobo = Victory Robo; Dekabaserobo = Grand Liner; Dekabikerobo = Linerboy; Super Dekarangerrobo = Max Victory Robo; Dekawingrobo = Victory Mars
- Umeko getting drunk in episode 17 to fight the Monster of the Week with Drunken Master power was lifted from episode 4 of Chikyuu Sentai Fiveman, where Remi did the same exact thing.
- Umeko (Pink) accidentally smacking Jasmine's (Yellow) face with ice cream is taken straight from a similar case in Denji Sentai Megaranger, where Miku (Pink) did the same to Chisato (Yellow).
- Mahou Sentai Magiranger
- Sungel/Hikaru is a special ranger who wears dark blue (OK, mainly gold, but still) and happens to love Urara who is the female blue ranger. In Ninpuu Sentai Hurricaneger, Isshuu was a special ranger who wore dark blue and happened to love Nanami who was the female blue ranger.
- Also, the ninja Monster of the Week is described in a flashback as "Unknown to the people, unknown to the world..."
- And then there's the way MagiKing gets assembled, with MagiTaurus serving as the core that gets armored up by the other mechs, not unlike DaiRenOh. Plus, the four non-red mechs combine into MagiDragon which can be used as a mount by MagiPhoenix], similar to how Ryou's [=RyuSeiOh rides the Heavenly Chi Palace.
- In the movie, the siblings perform the Five Fantastic Fire technique, in which they leap into the air and transform into a giant fire bird. The Jetman team uses a very similar attack in the penultimate episode of their series.
- The Saint Kaiser resembles a non-evil version of the first form of Dora Talos. Highly appropriate, considering that Big Good Magiel is played by the same actress as Zyuranger's primary Big Bad. This particular nod even carries over to the Power Rangers adaptation.
- Juken Sentai Gekiranger: Heart, Technique, and body as the core elements to a Sentai? We also got that in Ninja Sentai Kakuranger, where all three were the essence of Kakure Style Ninjutsu. It's relatively obscure, but worth mentioning regardless. What's more, just like Kakuranger, they had a female, who was not the Red Ranger, as the team's official leader.
- Engine Sentai Go-onger
- The second line of opening lyrics say "Ichi, Ni, San, Shi, Go-onger!"; One of the Catch Phrases of SunVulcan was "Ichi, Ni, Sunnote Vulcan!".
- GunBirOh is pretty much GaoHunter; an alligator for the body, a canine and an aquatic animal for arms.
- GP 9 features a camera-theme Monster Of The Week which makes people disappear by taking pictures.
- Hey, wait a minute!
- In his debut GP, Toripter pulled of a sideway flight exactly like Tenkujin.
- In GP 18, Sōsuke channels Yellow Owl Raita's signature move.
- One short scene in GP 19 has Go-ongers rescuing civilians from a collapsing building. Although they're not strangers to civilian rescue, it's the rubbled insides of the building that sparks the nostalgia.
- Also, Go-Roader GT's "Giant Tire" gimmick is an analogue to TackleBoy.
- Kyouretsu-Oh is very reminding of Daizyujin/Megazord, particularly the horns and how they fold out in the Transformation Sequence, and also having a Triceratops head for a foot. It is also a dinosaur-themed Expy of God Sigma, because of its similar formation and being three-pieced.
- "Time to go on" is a line in the full version of the Dekaranger theme song.
- In GP 39, Matsuri Banki is decorated with a bunch of masks, including an AkaRed.
- The main team ends their transformation with a spin and a revving sound almost identical to (if not the same as) the one used for Carranger.
- The team starts with Red, Blue, and Yellow, and are then joined by Green and Black, same as Choujuu Sentai Liveman.
- The whole idea of an environment-conscious, car-themed Sentai has already been done before.
- Sōsuke and Speedor, the Red ranger and his mecha, share the symbol of a winged number 1, which was last seen (though in a simpler form) on the helmet of Akaranger.
- In GP 40, the finisher for Engine Dai Shogun looks suspiciously similar to another team's finisher.
- They even do the finisher the same way as that team along with their predecessor!
- The core five have the same color layout as Choujuu Sentai Liveman.
- Samurai Sentai Shinkenger: As lampshaded in a later series, this isn't the first Super Sentai to have a hero with a kanji-shaped visor.
- Tensou Sentai Goseiger:
- The growth method for the Monsters of the Week involve bugs which attach and make the monster giant. Now, where have we seen this before?
- Tyranno Header bears a strong resemblance to CarriGator from Engine Sentai Go-onger. It even ends up in the same place as CarriGator's head, left foot.
- Gosei Knight's mecha form, Groundion, resembles a cross between GoGo Dump from GoGo Sentai Boukenger and Sei Shishi, the Lion mecha from Dairanger. Gosei Ground's face has the same colors and scheme as Muteki Shogun's.
- If you squint a bit, Gosei Knight bears some resemblance to Biohunter Silva - red eyes, silver body, has a gun for a weapon...
- The title for Epic 31: "Never Give Up Goseiger". For that matter, Goseiger references quite a few things from Gaoranger, such as a Blue Ranger whose shark-based mecha forms the right arm of the combined mecha, and similar villain arc structures.
- Gosei Tiger resembles a cross between a halftrack and Guardian Beast Saber Tiger.
- Gosei Ultimate resembles the OhBlockerRobo, and even mimics the crossed-swords salute.
- And sealing the deal in Epic 50, Blajira's death scene is very similar to that of Juuzo.
- The Movie involves an alien princess from a distant planet, hunted by other aliens, and a new flying mecha.
- In Epic 38, the Gosei Wonder Headders and Gosei Knight form a bridge to repair a train track.
- The three villain factions are each representatives of the most common Super Sentai villain archetypes: Warstar the alien invaders, UMA Beasts the ancient demons, and Matrintis the robot army.
- Power Rangers Dino Force Brave (Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger Brave): Jooyong claiming to be the "child of dinosaurs" is very similar to "tiger's child" Kandou Jan/GekiRed.
- Four Week Continuous Super Sentai Strongest Battle
- The series introduces a girl named Rita who's heavily tied to Kyōryū Sentai Zyuranger villainess Bandora, coming from the same planet and eventually revealed to be a witch who wants to resurrect Bandora's patron Great Satan. The only way the homage could have been more obvious is if Toei gave her the surname "Repulsa".
- Yamato faces off against Kakeru Shishi, the Red Ranger of the older animal-themed, Milestone Celebration Sentai.
- Ginga Blue and GaoBlack are both on the designated Big Guy team. In Gaoranger vs. Super Sentai, the former taught this archetype to the latter.
- Space Team has two Megarangers. This is a reference to how their show was adapted into a Space-themed show for Power Rangers.
- Ohsama Sentai King-Ohger
- Legend King-Ohger is very reminding of Ultimate Daizyujin, being the complete form of multiple mecha that are revered as five kingdoms' patron deities.
- Gira utilizing a sword meant for Racules to become a Red Ranger is a similar situation to Ryoma and Hyuga.
