”Live For Another Day” is a musical tournament saga inspired by SiIvaGunner 's King for another day and Danganronpa, created by Snorty and with Monokuma as the main host. One notorious feature that differentiates itself from other similar musical tournaments is that the contestants die in Cruel and unusual deaths if they ultimately lose.

Tropes for Live for Another Day Tournament

  • Anyone Can Die: All of the participants in this game aren't save from being executed by Monokuma if they lose twice.
  • Bears Are Bad News: Monokuma is this embodied, as he forces every participant to play his deadly musical game, with many variants of himself being featured on many characters executions as inconveniences at best and killers at worst.
  • Deader than Dead:
    • This happens to Mad piano boo in his execution, as he's trapped in a poltergust that is crushed by the collapsing concert hall, denying him any chance to save himself from his downfall.
    • Later in the tournament, it happens to Dead Parappa and Lammy, the latter dying and becoming a ghost after being liquified. Once she turns into a ghost, Monokuma traps them inside a painting canvas and destroys the duo inside them by exploding the canvas with a rocket.
  • Deadly Game: The whole music contest is this for the contestants of the game as Monokuma makes clear that if someone loses in both winner and losers Round, he will execute them in a painful way.
  • Cruel and Unusual Death: Monokuma hasn't abandoned his habit of killing his victims in this way.
  • Glitch Entity: Ramona Flowers becomes this in her execution before dying
  • Hope Spot: Some of the executions have this.
    • In "Burning Waltz", the piano boo escapes the piano at the last second and almost leaves the destroyed concert hall, only to be destroyed anyway by Monokuma who traps him in a poltergust and allows it to be crushed
    • In "THIS IS THE ENDING OF THE SONG", Ramona jumps inside the subspace door to escape her punishment, only to realize too late that the Subspace Highway rainbow wasn’t there to land on it, falling to her demise and becoming glitched, unable to escape again as Rogue holds Scott back when he tries to save her and the monokumas destroy the subspace door for good
  • Impaled with Extreme Prejudice: In her execution, Rikka is brutally impaled twice by Monokuma using the umbrella he stole away from her, and splits her body
  • Ironic Death: Like in Danganronpa, some of the executions are related to the habilities, talents and backgrounds of their victims.
  • Murder by Cremation: The cookie warriors met his demise this way, with Monokuma cooking them in a giant oven alongside various lifeless Monokuma cookies
  • Parasol of Pain: In Rikka's execution, Monokuma steals her umbrella in the darkness and impales her with it, tearing apart her hearth and bisecting her body.
  • Ruins for Ruins' Sake: One shaped in the form of Monokuma's head is featured in Fireboy & Watergirl's excetuion, as a deadly trap.
  • Spikes of Doom: These are featured at the bottom of Final destination in the Mii trio execution, with all three, impaled with these as they fell from the stage
  • There Is No Kill Like Overkill: In Imitation Detonation both Timmy and Jimmy die drowning unpleasantly with their lungs filled with water due to a robotic Mr Krabs holding them tight and having their bodies exploded alongside said robot once they reach the chum bucket
  • The Walls Are Closing In: Featured in "Friendship Forever", where Fireboy and Watergirl end up dying squashed together by two stone walls
  • Would Hurt a Child: Monokuma has no problem by letting kids join his deadly musical game, much less executing them as Jimmy Timmy Power Hour and Fireboy & Watergirl learn the hard way
