SNES drunk is a YouTuber who mostly covers The 16 Bit Era Of Console Video Games. Each week, he uploads one video related to the Super Nintendo Entertainment System and another related to games from another platform, most often Sega Genesis, arcades, or Game Boy Advance.

Most of his videos will focus on whether or not a particular game from the era is worth playing today, and is notable for having covered hundreds of games. He also makes topical videos regarding worthwhile rom hacks, hidden gems, Top 13 lists, and more. He will also occasionally post compilations of SNES music to fit your moods.

SNES drunk's channel can be found here.

Tropes that apply to SNES Drunk:

  • Accentuate the Negative: Usually averted. However, he had nothing positive to say about the 1993 SETA game The Wizard of Oz. Likewise, the 13 Worst Super Nintendo Games video is eight minutes of negativity.
  • Alter-Ego Acting: Sega Drunk and Steam Drunk will show up when reviewing games from their respective platforms.
  • Canine Companion: Drunk's beloved dog Clyde T. Dog will show up in his videos every so often. He even made a heartwarming video about how Clyde helped him put his life together.
  • Clickbait Gag: Averted. His videos never include shocked face preview images. Even the top thirteen list videos avoid sensationalistic names.
  • Covers Always Lie: His "Don't Judge a Super Nintendo Game By Its Cover" videos
  • Digital Piracy Is Okay: When a great game is too rare or expensive to reasonably acquire via legal means, he insists that you should play the game "any way you can."
  • Fake Longevity: This is how SNES Drunk feels about RPGs with ridiculously high encounter rates
  • Nintendo Hard: Being that he mostly covers games from the early '90s, he looks at a lot of extraordinary difficult games, which he refers to as "pick up and die" games.
  • No Export for You: He has made several videos recommending games that were not released outside of Japan. invoked
  • No Port For You: Discussed in his videos on the best Sega Genesis and TurboGrafx-16 games Super Nintendo owners missed out on. invoked
  • Nostalgia Filter: Non-existent. If a game is bad, he will tell you to avoid it.
  • Overly Long Gag: His video Is Race Drivin' [SNES] Worth Playing Today? is a four-and-a-half-minute-long version of his "snnnnnnes drunk" intro with clips of complaints about it showing up on screen, simply followed up with "Nope! It's not."
  • Podcast: Started an audio podcast with fellow retro game fan NES Friend. Episodes have included special guests such as Summoning Salt and Norman Caruso (The Gaming Historian).
  • Port Overdosed: He jokes that the original Prince of Persia was ported so many times that there was a version playable on microwaves. invoked
  • Retraux: Drunk will sometimes review new games in the style of 16-bit era games.
  • Shout-Out: Drunk makes a lot of references to '90s pop culture.
  • Signing Off Catchphrase: "I'd like to thank you for watching, and I hope you have a great rest of your day."
  • The Faceless: SNES Drunk rarely appears on camera. However, he appears in the middle of his Robotrek review.
