Ichaicha Suru to Okane ga Waichau Futari no Hanashi (A Story About a Man and a Woman and When They Sleep Together, Money Appears out of Nowhere, or literally The Story of Two People Who Get Money When They Flirt) is a Romantic Comedy manga. A sequel called A Story About a Very Ordinary Couple was released on Pixiv, following their married life.
This manga provides examples of the following tropes:
- Alliterative Name: Haru Hanasaki. Still applies in the sequel after she marries Hojo.
- Benevolent Boss: Haru's boss at the restaurant cares about his employees, even paying for a cab to take her home when she collapsed from overwork.
- Coat, Hat, Mask: When Hojo is worried about Haru overworking herself, he goes to her workplace in a leather jacket, sunglasses, and a fedora, and generally acts suspiciously. Fortunately, her manager was looking for a friend of hers to take her home, since she's collapsed from overwork.
- "Dinner, Bath, or Sex" Offer: Hanasaki fantasizes about asking Aki this when he gets home, with him interrupting her with a Wall Pin of Love before she gets to the last one.
- Dude Looks Like a Lady: Shiki Touma, Aki's friend, is such a Pretty Boy that Hanasaki mistook him for a girl at first.
- Head Desk: When Touma makes him think Haru holding his hand was just a dare, Hojo slams his head on the table in despair.
- Imaginary Love Triangle: Hanasaki is planning to give Aki a Love Confession, but he has Touma over that day. Due to his referring to his friend in gender-neutral terms, and Hanasaki seeing a helmet with flower patterns, the androgynous Touma, and lingerie and handcuffs that Touma had bought for his own girlfriend, she assumes Touma is Aki's girlfriend.
- Innocent Innuendo: Natsuki sees Haru heading into Hojo's apartment, and then hears her saying things like "So much came out!" and "Shall we go for one more round?". Haru was actually talking about taking selfies together to make money appear, but Natsuki naturally assumes she's talking about sex. After she leaves, Hojo actually has an Erotic Dream with Haru saying the same lines.
- Literally Loving Thy Neighbor: Hojo and Haru's apartments are next door to each other, and she often sleeps over at his place to make money appear.
- Mistaken for Prostitute: Haru is heading to lunch with her friend Natsuki, but realizes she's forgotten her wallet. She sees Hojo, and runs into an alley with him, then emerges with money. It's not hard to see how Natsuki gets the wrong idea.
- Romantic Fake–Real Turn: Inverted, in a way. Hojo and Haru are neighbors who each secretly like the other, but they're Twice Shy. Strangely, whenever they show affection to each other, money appears out of thin air. They take advantage of this, "acting" like they like each other (at least in private), but worry that the other one thinks they're only interested in the money. Eventually, they do admit their feelings, but they haven't told anyone else yet.
- Shipper on Deck: Touma subtly pushes Haru and Hojo together, inviting both of them to dinner with a few friends
- Sleep Cute: They already sleep next to each other relatively often, but usually not touching. In Chapter 9.5, Hanasaki cuddles up next to Aki and falls asleep. He wakes up, thinks he's dreaming, and cuddles her back. When they wake up, there's a lot more money than usual.
- Smells Sexy: When Hanasaki does Aki's laundry, she sniffs each of his clothes before putting it in the machine (at a public laundromat!)
- Think Unsexy Thoughts: Aki wakes up with a nosebleed after having an Erotic Dream sleeping next to Hanasaki, and runs to stand in a cold waterfall to stop being turned on before she wakes up.
